A Tricky Question About Saves Empty
PostSubject: A Tricky Question About Saves   A Tricky Question About Saves EmptyMon Nov 19, 2012 10:09 am

Ok so here is my question and yes it may be confusing or not make since to some people so I'll try to explain best I can.

So I'm playing a world called Sunrise City and it is in Beta so I went in and did some changes to it because I'm picky about my World's. So the guy who is making the World put out a newer version of it or well and updated version but he changed the name of the file.

So we have Sunrise City then Sunrise City 1 so now both are installed in my Game. Is there a way for me to take my Save file from Sunrise City and carry it over to make it work with Sunrise City 1 so I do not loose all the changes I made? I'm sure there is a way but I just am not sure what to look for or how to do it.

Strangely I do understand the question. A Tricky Question About Saves 3137150671
Unfortunately though it may be his updated version of the same world the game will not see it that way.
If there is a way I am sure someone here can provide a better answer.
Please let us know if you find a way.

Sadly, I think the answer probably is no. He probably did a save as when he renamed and so that is considered a different world. I have my Spider Islands that I did and Spider Islands II where I made changes. My saves from when using the first will not load with the newer version.

I manually had to move over all lots I changed and my family when I went to the newer version.

Well that sort of makes me sad but no worries, I spent the day moving stuff over and I sort of like how things look more so in Sunrise City 1 then in Sunrise City. I find every time I place new lot's into World's I get more and more creative ideas so I'm ok with it. Thankyou all for replying so fast I really apperciate it.

Only way to find out is to try. Rename the save, and see. You might also try copying the .nhd file within the save, and renaming and replacing it with a new save from the updated world.

That is a good idea of something to try. I used to move my redone vacation saves when I moved my family to a new world, but have not done that in a long time.
