PostSubject: Moore Legacy - Moonlight Falls   Tue Oct 23, 2012 6:33 pm

Dare I start another Legacy? (Is there a limit in this thread? Let me know!)

Richard and Tess move to Moonlight Falls

Last we met them, our hero Richard and his new love, Tess got married at a family party.

Some random things happened since then. First, a zombie died of old age a few nights later (we'll get back to that later...).

The grave marker was in the backyard, pretty much ignored, until Richard tripped over it one day.

He had an opportunity to bring Mortal Remains to the science center. He wasn't sure if zombie remains were mortal or not, but it's what he had. He scooped up the grave marker and took it to the science building.

They did their thing and voila, a new household member!

He must be the ghost of the 70's past. He is rocking the big Farrah hair and leisure suit. I KNOW they dressed that way.. I LIVED it! (And lived to tell the tale...)

Meanwhile this happened:

You know what that means!

A baby!

Richard was thrilled and was faced with a dilemma. The house now had 7 people (6 humans, 1 ghost, 1 cat, and Bonehilda whatever she is to be honest) in it, baby would make 8. What if there were two babies? or three?

Richard was in a panic. He didn't want to miss out on any of his children, so he whipped out his cell phone and moved Tess and their cat Bettina into their new home in a new town.

Welcome to the Moore Moonlight Falls Legacy!

Founding family is Richard and Tess Moore. He is the adopted son of Marina and Emmit Moore, brother to Chad (Moved to Sunnyvale) and Marianne (staying in Hidden Springs).

I will upload the family, pregnant Tess, Richard, and the cat, to the exchange and provide a link if anyone is interested.

A Move and Making Babies

Well technically, the baby was already made. Tess was exhausted after the move and fell asleep in the rocking chair will Richard read up on babies and pregnancy. The living and dining rooms are decorated in scarlet and gold.

The house purchase (bought with Moore family funds, no cheating needed) and move to Moonlight left them with zero money. Tess had some unused junker cars in her pocket (no idea they were there) which she sold to buy some cat furniture.

The bedroom is in Richard's favorite understated grey.

The house is the Dutch Colonial I uploaded to the exchange. Now you get to see the insides a bit.

Richard had to go to work the very next day. Tess was at the community garden gathering some plants to add to her own garden when the baby came!

Thankfully she was right across the street from the hospital so she waddled over there.

Meet Tempest Moore! Richard loves his little girl.

My family legacies tend to be matriarchies. Not planned but most first children are female in my worlds. I don't do anything to skew the odds.

Two days of feeding, rocking, holding, playing, and we have one adorable toddler!

Richard jumped in and started to potty train immediately while Tess napped. Boy is he a dedicated dad.

Considering that I never played legacy style before, I'm now hooked! For Marianne's generation, her two brothers were more interesting than the heir. We'll see how the main story goes. That game is getting pretty laggy now.

Toddler Skillz and a Sister!

Cooing over Tempest in her rocker.

Taking Tempest for a walk. She LOVED it. It also cured mom's Stir Crazy moodlet.

Playing games with Dad.

And then Tess has some news! Another Nooboo on the way!

Random family photo. Richard picked up his daughter and just carried her around, even while flirting with Tess. So cute. My boys are such great fathers.

Tess's birthday! No party because we don't know anyone yet. Maybe for the next birthday...

Tess's child picture. Some serious cheekbones she has going on there.

Her traits to date are athletic, loves outdoors, and supernatural fan (figured I'd try it out).

Another birth!

Richard was around to go to the hospital with Tess this time. She went into labor in the middle of the night.

Meet Rowena Moore!

Richard jumped right in to feed her after work. Didn't even remove his labcoat first.

Then played peek-a-boo with Rowena in the rocker.

Then he reached level 7 in the Science Career and with the bonus was able to buy a Bonehilda! That takes a lot of strain off of Tess, who has been staying home (she's an alchemist/gardener, works from home anyway).

Richard decided to keep a very close eye on the young man Tempest brought home from school. He pretended to read while the two sat and chatted after finishing homework.

Before you knew it, it was Rowena's toddler birthday! Again no party, but next birthday there will be.

And it happened on a full moon! There were zombies but they didn't do anything interesting.

Oh and Rowena is a witch! her yellow border showed up.

My first supernatural child. This should be interesting. And she is so cute! She has Richard's yellowish hair, and Tempest has the paler blonde of her mother.

Party Death and Birthdays

Richard and Tess have few friends still. I tend to focus too much on career and not enough on socials. I did have Tess chat up the Alchemy store merchant. Even through a friendship potion at the woman to help things along. Now Tess has a few people to call on the phone.

Huge house, nicely furnished, and we still haven't bought a computer. That's just wrong, but not needing one very much at the moment.

Richard was invited to a co-worker's party. They were making friends when this happened.

Grim came visiting. Not sure who the Sim was or if it was one of those vampire starvation things. The guy just died.

On the toddler front, Rowena learned her skills in good time to age up.

Tess spent tons of time with her when Richard was at work.

And she aged up very well. She is artistic, loves outdoors, and cat lover (appropro for a witch, yes?)

Here is child Rowena in her bright dress. Her color is spiceberry, but I am lax about the matchy matchy colors.

And this young lovely is Tempest aged to a teen the very next day. I had a cake for her and everything but she aged right before everyone could gather for candles. This is her mirror makeover picture. She aged with that hair and I loved it so kept it.

Gator Wolfe's eyes will bug out!

He did not stray more than three steps from his daughter with a kid werewolf in the house. I had nothing to do with it. I've been playing this game since Sims 1 came out, and I still am constantly surprised and delighted at what they do.

Mom Has a Plan

Loaded up with friendship elixirs, Tess heads into Moonlight Falls to make some friends that might benefit her family. She befriends Zach Durwood in an effort to get him to meet Tempest. At least he is human! The one trait we know about is that he is good. His hair is a bit long, but at least is doesn't grow longer during the full moon.

Tempest has other ideas. She is working on learning potions so that she can convert Patches, her best friend in the world.

How is that working for you, Tempest?

Rowena is learning new skills too. She loves to be at her easel.

Notice how her painting matches her wallpaper.

Richard helped both girls with homework.

Then it was time for the prom! Tess went and Patches dived into the limo after her. Tess became prom queen. She and Patches had a great time. They became love interests at the prom. I guess she had better work more on that potion!

All mom's elixir work gone for naught!

That is a new one for me as well. Thought an IF had to be real to even leave the home lot.
Maybe the rules changed with the SN EP?
In any case I have had IFs marry into the family... after made real of course.

Great update. It must have looked pretty funny to her friends dancing with no one. Laughing

Let's hope Patches is a boy IF.

Rowena's Birthday!

Another party. We're slowly making friends. My Sims need to leave the lot more often to make friends. I am bad about that. I tend to focus on the family and skills or lifetime wishes.

Rowena ages up. For some reason Gator Wollf is still a child. He was in school with Tempest. Do they have longer childhood lifespans?

Rowena aged up in a mauve suit and long hair with bangs. I liked it so much I kept both. She even aged up with matching (sort of) purple snakeskin boots. Perfect!

On a sad note, two days later Bettina, Tess's first familiar, dies of old age. Grim gave her a very tender sendoff.

The entire household mourned Bettina, including Bonehilda. The more I observe Bonehilda, the more traits she seems to develop.

The family made a little grave site for Bettina behind the garden.

The family moved, house and all, to a larger lot. It's now on a 40x40 lot which gives a bit more room on the sides and back, plus moves the house a little bit further away from the street. Now that I have two witches in the house, there are three gem/metal spawners and bugs all over the place. It adds nice atmosphere (and the gems are very nice, Tempest gets them cut at the Apothacary and sells them.)

I'm not using the gem sell exploit. I am just cutting and selling at the Apothecary.

I didn't know that either, but Patches dived into the Limo after Tempest. Richard is making potions to hopefully transform Patches, but has not succeeded yet. Better hurry, Tempest is about to grow up. I'll have to read up on if an IF can be made human after the child ages.

Would be funny if Patches were female. There goes my Legacy. Rowena would have to produce the heir.

Rowena is beautiful! That hair suits her face and I like that color outfit.

Yes all the Supernaturals have extended lifespans. But there is also an issue with that family in particular where Gator and his sibling are stuck aging. In one save I had Gator and his dad (forgot name) join my Werewolf household to try to figure out how to form a pack. I had to have Gator turn back into human form then I triggered age transition for him to become a teen.

As long as the IF is not in the personal inventory it will age with the Toddler/Child/Teen and can be made real.
Hmmm .. wonder if the Potent Cure Elixir would work to turn an IF real?

The Mystery of Patches Solved!

But first, we have Richard's adult birthday! It was the full moon, but no zombies showed up at all. Richard aged up without incident and has no midlife crisis. Whew!

Unfortunately everyone was still mourning Bettina, so it was a bittersweet birthday.

Not even mood enhancer potions worked.

And then there is Patches. Richard finally discovered the right potion. Tess and Tempest tried but just couldn't get it done.

Sparkles...

It's a boy! Whew... Patches Moore's traits are Virtuoso, Good, Nurturing, and Clumsy. Sort of in keeping with a doll turned real, yes?

Not only does he have good traits, he's cute too. (I did not touch his traits or favorites or facial features.) His favorites are Roots Music, Fish & Chips, and the color Brown.

Patches and Tempest wasted no time in getting to know each other better. Tempest didn't even bother to dress. I doubt Patches minded much.

WHEW ... Indeed ... looks like they make a good pair. Happy the traits turned out to be good ones overall.
