Do you have these working yet? My alchemy artisan cannot place anything on the stone. And I have had her use the Midas touch potion and nothing happens so far. And I had her use the potion before trying the stone. Supposedly gems, seeds, newspapers, potions, etc. can be placed on the stone. I select the place option and get the red symbol that they cannot be placed.

Help!

Re: Philosopher's Stone
Drag an item onto the base. Then you should have options to transmute it into a random item.
Try it with old newspapers too.
Have not tried Midas Touch yet.
Google is my friend.

Thanks for those links EQ.
What is the meaning of "Clear your skill opportunities around level 10"? That was said at Carl-Sims. I remember reading that A Sim can go higher then a level 10 ( in some things, in all things?) but have no idea what to do with a Sim when they get to a level 10.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried and tried and tried to drag items to the stone and they just will not place there. I checked at Carl's and the Wiki too and read some threads at the official site and so far have not found out why the things will not place.

I did the opportunities and got the stone. In fact, the family has gotten 2 of them. I just can't get them to work so far.

hmm

Gram, my sim had to turn in 4 bugs at the vault I think, then visit the arboretum, then go back to the vault as I recall. I am so glad I did not turn down the first one! So, you need to have open opportunity slots for the sim to get the needed ones.

I used the stone with a level 10 witch. That was before I put my Mods back in my game.
I will test with Mods to see if it matters. Also see if there are any Unknown Special Seeds in personal inventory.
Those buggers have been causing issues for way too long.

I will try with my witch and see what happens but she is not at a very high level, unless high enough that they got the second stone with her. My guess is no and that the alchemist got both who is level 10, made the LTW, and has discovered all the potions.

Thank you for helping to try and figure this out. I will check and see what mods I have in at the moment too.

I have it working now as well as quite a few other things. The hidden room marker in the totally enclosed foundation was causing all sorts of problems. After everything else was failing I removed it, and bingo, the stone now works.

HappyTrio

I really have to quit using those markers I think other than in the highrises. They just seen to mess up things otherwise. Surprised
