I am on generation 24 of my family, and just had my first divorce. Wynde was the second sim to have a want to divorce her husband. This time I let her do it. It just broke my heart to see her be so mean to Simon to the point that they split up.

It had all started well. He came as a dancer at Valeria's bachelorette party.

She was smitten on the spot.

He was a nice fellow!

They became parents to an adorable little girl.

But later on she became restless and was no longer interested in him. She let him know it!

Things got ugly and then he had had enough! That was the end.

This was my first divorce. I liked how in Sims 1 or 2 the person left with the bundle on a stick. I was surprised that he did not move out automatically. It was so hard to watch.

Have you had divorces in the game? It broke my heart to see it.

And from the other side, Wrenne was at her graduation and spotted a good looking tourist.

She found out he was in a relationship but invited him to visit later anyway. One observer was not quite sure about all of this when he came.

She found out that he was married and had come alone.

He was willing to divorce his wife, and moved in! She was thrilled.

He did not even bother to call his wife and let her know he had divorced her and married someone else!
Sims, such goings on!

So, how many marriages have your sims broken up? eeek Laughing

I've had breakups in Sims 3 but never a divorce.

The game decided for me in Sims 2. A long married couple suffered from a glitch. According to her they were not even married. So I had him divorce her. Oops! When she left I went to the bin and put her back in the house and had him move out. She later married someone else. He became a hermit for a bit.

I actually had a few households in 2 where the mother-in-laws fell for the daughter-in-laws when they were PG, from rub belly, etc. actions! In one case the wife, Morticia Addams, was accused of cheating and she was divorced on the spot! I had never seen that.

I've had a few divorces in Sims 3.
First was in Bridgeport, a goldigger and the old actor..what was his name, starts with M I think . I knew that was doomed. At their wedding ceremony she jumped into his arms and he let her drop.LOL
Also one couple that Got divorced, then got back together ,then broke up .LOL I could not tell if they belonged together or not.
I do like that the Sims don't get so overly jealous like in Sims 2.
I remember even if another Sim initiated flirting with your Sim and they did nothing, Your Sim's husband or wife would freak out and smack their spouse. LOL ...Or if it was say your Sims boyfriend and he lived in another house, of course you'd get the dumping of your trash can the next day. Laughing And every day after that until you made peace. Mad
I do like it better in Sims 3, though sometimes I wish it were somewhere in the middle.
I had one sim who was flirting in front of her husband. So he got all upset and had the daggers for her etc. But then he just got over it. They were still in the same room she was still flirting and he just stood around and talked to people etc. He did have the bad mood for 2 days but after that first inistal flirting no reaction at all.
I tried the same thing with another couple and same reaction.
Although I do like that you have to actually be doing more for your spouse to see it as cheating, I wish they would do a little more after that first reaction. It's just not normal to see your boyfriend flirting with someone and get angry and then let him go on flirting.LOL

I only remember my Sim getting another Sim to divorce or break up with their partner.
that's an impressive Generations family, Daisy. Whenever I tried the game would get messed up so haven't tried in a few years.

You should try again Gram as they are fun to do. I love the continuity of so many sims that are tied together as family. Smile

Those are some funny stories, Friday! Dropping her at the alter! Laughing

I seem to be getting a midlife wish for most of my couples now to divorce! The troups are getting restless it seems!
