Patches and new content are always exciting. But sometimes they might make the game act differently than expected. If you are seeing something unexpected there are a couple of things you can do to investigate.
Remove CC and mods folder and save it to your desktop or somewhere safe.
You may want to also do this with saves and tray folders to be safe.
Delete localthumbcache.package (important step).
Delete any other cache files and start a new game.
Play the game for a bit to see if the issue still exists.
If it does then go to AnswersHQ to look for a solution.
Not finding what you are looking for the start a new report in the appropriate section.
It may take a bit so allow time for your issue to be investigated,
Don't forget to look for feedback.

I went to AHQ and posted about plants disappearing( wild ones) and if something is picked that too disappears from the Sims inventory. When my e-mail said there were some answers to view went back and Microsoft ( in their infinite wisdom) had removed my new bookmarks. ( or hidden them very well.) So my post was among some Chinese posts, completely off subject and nowhere could I find it or any answers on the disappearing stuff from a Sims inventory.
Did read some interesting things though.
When I played the game again noted that when Sims traveled from their lot parts or all of their inventory disappeared. My workaround is simply my Sims don't travel with anything I want them to keep.
Still haven't see a mermaid, or - man. Disappointed that we can't see Sims play with dolphins or underwater like the ad's show. No
I thank you EQ for noting my post. ( got an e-mail alert ) But didn't understand what all this new fangeled ( it seems I made that word up since I couldn't find a spelling for it) stuff means! This is Not a rant. Things will sort themselves out eventually as they usually do.
