Lot Traits can be handy tools to help your Sims succeed {or fail Suspect  }
Did you know that if you own all the content to date you have a choice of up to Thirty Eight lot traits? Even with just the base game there are nine choices. They boost skills and make it easier to get to know your neighbors. Do you use Lot Traits? Which ones are your favorites?

Depending on the type of home I'm building. If I know I'm going to build more than one bedroom I will include either the Good Schools or Child's Play trait (sometimes both are used). If I'm building one that has a huge kitchen with all the amenities I will use the Chef's Kitchen trait.

For the most part, Good Schools, Child's Play, Homey, and Chef's Kitchen are the ones I use the most.

The ones I have never used are:
Creepy Crawlies
Peace and Quiet (at least not yet anyway Wink )
On a Dark Ley Line
Registered Vampire Lair
Vampire Nexus
Cursed
Filthy
Gnomes
Gremlins
Grody
Haunted
Mean Vibe
On Ley Line
Quake Zone
Breeding Grounds
Cat/Dog Friendly/Hangout
Training Grounds

Lot traits I use most frequently are Homey (boost cooking, mixology, handiness and gardening), Convivial (make friends faster by boosting charisma, comedy and mischief) and Chef's Kitchen (inspired chef moodlet and seems to improve the food quality slightly). Community lots are also good places to apply lot traits. Bracing Breezes at the gym and Natural Light at the Art Center or Museum.  Sunny Aspect is good on almost any lot for happy, energized or inspired moodlets.

Ley Lines has not really seemed to work very well for me. I had a couple who both had the Fertility Trait plus the Ley Lines lot trait. They had several children but all single births.

The "Icky" ones do not get much use because I kind of like to avoid the tension they cause.
But they do work well in a place like Murkland Wink

I find I use all the 'good' lot traits in various combinations. The lot traits that affect children are used if the house hold is going to have kids. I like Bracing Breezes, Convivial, Romantic Aura, Party Place, Chef's Kitchen and a few others for commercial lots.
