PostSubject: Option to marry or elope grayed out   Fri Nov 17, 2017 2:16 pm

So yesterday I tried to get two of my sims to marry. When I clicked on the guy the option to marry... or elope with... was available but the action would disappear. When I clicked on the girl the option was grayed out and it said that my female sim couldn't marry someone in the same job (or something to that affect). SHE is NOT employed! So. What I ended up doing is, reverting back to an old save, using the cheat to access full CAS and adding the male sim to the family and changing their status to husband/wife.

I ended up removing my mccc as it was causing my large dogs to stretch and be distorted and haven't had any issues with them since removing mc command center. I thought that maybe the issue still existed because something went foobar after pulling mccc out. So I deleted files that I can in my documents folder for sims 4 + did a repair game. (all done prior to reverting back to an old save and I didn't save when the marriage issue started) Needless to say after deleting files/folders and repair game the issue with the marriage still occurred which then prompted me to revert to an old save.

This issue actually popped up a while back. There's no real reason that I recall. One solution though is to have the couple just be friends then start raising their relationship back up in the Romantic Department that should fix it

The pet elongating happened in my game just the other day. It was very quick but did happen a few times. I have no cc. Not on purpose anyway. Wasn't this mutilation of characters a problem in 3 after Supernatural? How odd that it should crop up in the new series.

Yes it did happen in Sims 3 with pets and children being elongated.
Are you using any Mods at all? Quite a lot of them were broken with the Cats & Dogs patch.

hmm so maybe mccc was not the culprit after all? I had similar issues with pets in 3 also, but it was only the small dogs. Cats were fine and so were the birds, raccoons. I contributed it to my graphics card at that time, but.... scratch

I just used the option to elope immediately without any issues.

@Buttonsginger, I wonder then if there was something that could of corrupted my gave save then. hmm I think I might have to try it on a new game and see if that issue is gone or still there.
