Adventures In Computer Land - Real Life
Not fun rant
My computer has been rather challenging of late with a few minor issues here and there.
Until today Suspect  I turned it on and walked away. When I got back there was an ugly blue screen
with an error message "Stop Code: Critical Process Died"
After a lot of fiddling fussing and assorted forbidden words I had to call Microsoft help desk.
Reason for the call that in the process of trying to fix the issue I was locked out of actually getting into my computer.
Long story short .... had to do a total factory reset.
I am now in the process of restoring all my bookmarks and finding my frequently used programs.
Oh and the Major part .... I am back on Win 7 and ..... all my sim folders are G O N E
VikgAxMad Ninja
Yup Murkland included.
Aspiration challenge with Jesse and any other saves, pictures etc etc etc ....

It's almost like mourning a death in the family. I hope you can keep sane trying to get everything back. BigHug BaloonHeart

Getting everything back in order is tedious and very time consuming.
Of course my internet decided to pick NOW Suspect to be super slow.
I use a desktop with a wireless connection and have been told by my provider
to expect it to run a bit slower.
Base game took about two hours and some change to download.
It took for-ev-er to download and install all the Sims 4 content.
Finally back in the game now

Happy you are back in game! I have always hated having to reinstall everything. And it just gets longer the more packs they release. At least we don't have a store to download too. Sims 3 took ages to reinstall! Out Cold

I was thinking about the Sims 3 store while I was downloading all the Sims4 content.
Content via packs & patches takes a while but is far less tedious than the store.
