Family Aspirations Glitch?
First step of the Base Game family aspirations says:
Become an adult
Spend §1000 on kids' stuff
Note: For some reason I thought it used to say "own" insread of "spend".
Until very recently if the household already owned  §1000 of kids' stuff on the lot this goal counted.
In two different saves now the required amount was already on the lot. The goal did not count until my Sim bought the items again.
In at least one if those saves a YA was asked to Move In.
There is already just over §1000 of kids' stuff on the lot.
I had to go into buy mode, delete the existing items and replace them before the goal would complete.

hmm, sounds like a glitch if it was already counted before. I can't seem to remember how it works. I do know I have lost some things by moving a sim to a new lot, I sure that was a glitch.

Maybe this was something messed up in the last patch. scratch

Losing things ... especially collections when moving has been a long term issue unfortunately.

hmm I'm starting to see a rapidly growing problem with this game in comparison to The Sims 3. Multiple issue's with each patch that is put out, something always breaking. I was really hoping that with as much patching as they do with this game, compared to the lack of patches in The Sims 3, that this time they had it right. Pretty soon we will need a patch to fix the patches, which is what Sims 3 needed but never got sadly. No

It is frustrating to keep finding annoying issues.
But in comparison Sims 4 has a much better turn around time for fixes / patches.
Sims 3 was a real pain to patch when a patch was finally released.
I love both versions and have great fun playing Sims 4

I do have to agree that patching is much better in Sims 4 compared to 3 and at least they are trying their hardest to keep up with the issues that pop up and get them fixed as quickly as possible. I've never really had any issues with the patches in 3 and I've tried to go back and play it but I just can't get into it anymore, sadly. I lived in that game and did so dearly love it.

I miss TS3 way too much. There were just too many things I wanted to try/accomplish and will now never get the chance to do so. Was planning on doing a travel story using the hot air balloon among other ideas.

TS4 has some good things but I find it quite frustrating too much of the time.
