| This is just too weird. To find this thread, I have to use the link in the old Back Porch for the link to get here. When I click on General discussion chitchat this thread is not listed but the old one is.
I do have a question. When I go to the Sim 4 forum from here I must sign in even if I've already signed in before and the process asks for a number code (forget what it's called exactly) for verification. How do I stop this unnecessary action? I only have one left from a list I copied down from an E Mail from EA quite awhile back. I must have clicked on something concerning security for their site but I need to change things back because there is only one code left and I really don't like the bother. Does anyone know anything about it? Even if I sign in to the TS4 forum before I come here, I still have to sign in again when following a link from here to there, which isn't a problem except for that needed code. |

Oops I personally apologize for the inconvenience. Somebody (Me) needs to fix the portal link. There are two chitchat sections with slightly different titles. The one here is the most current one. I will have a look at this issue and make changes as needed. - @Gramcrackers wrote:

Not sure why it is every time. This is most likely related to security settings. I have mine set to send me a text with a verification code to protect against potential hacking of my account. Usually mine only triggers after clearing caches and cookies from my web browser. |

| Action taken:Moved this as a Stickied thread under the Welcome section. The link on the portal page leads to this section. I hope that makes it easier to find. The section under Sims 4 Discussion has a new name. Sims 4 News - Discussion - Chatter will be a place specific to Sims 4 information and conversation. |

| Thanks you, EQ! Well I'm always clearing sites visited after on line and before shutting down so I guess I'll just live with it. I would like to ask about the 2nd Murkland challenge. Could only find that there was one. Is a Nukecrest needed? I never did one cause of not enough time. Giving up on the Overgrown Gym side challenge. I tried. Could never get Fern out of debt. Her bills skyrocketed to over 1,000 and she didn't make enough selling her 2 potions or tips from playing her guitar. Those 3 day trips to Granite Falls cost too. And how can the Sim access the dragonflies in the underground garden? What are they there for if not to use? Oh, well. I got too bored too. The game clock is unreliable when fast forwarding which made the night sleeping on that lot very long. When I'd fast forward the time to get through the night(before I fell asleep), then stop the clock, the time went backwards, sometimes by an hour. Most time consuming. |

| Hi Gram I just asked Brennachan about Challenge Two and it is still being tested. Must be pretty intense The Gym was an optional challenge so no worries. A lot of people had trouble with bills during that challenge. Going to the home lot on Sunday evening and waiting until after bills arrived Monday seemed to help a bit. Nukecrest was an option for people wanting to build and add extra Murkland households. Not a requirement Mine is still empty. |

| Thought I'd add my two cents... When doing the gym challenge, you don't have to make a lot of the Energizer cream. Just some. Although it does sell for the most. I think the rules said it was up to us on how many we wanted to sell of each. I found it frustrating to make those since the dragon flies were hard to find. I didn't pay my bills....lol. I am not sure what challenge 2 is going to be like for me. She said there would be consequences for not paying them. Sorry to hear your game clock had problems. |

| The fast forward doesn't want to work when I do it manually. Fast forward won't turn on automatically when there are other Sims on the lot. And there were almost always other Sims at the gym even through the night when my Sim needed to sleep. Possibly I should have had her find a bench at the beach but then she would have been away from the plants underground at the gym and they wouldn't have progressed. |

| I'm hoping I'll be able to play the second challenge. Had trouble with the new big Murkland Park lot. I couldn't access my save after installing the lots. Trying to access Fern's game just brought me back to the menu. So I had to delete her last save and use the older save ( thank goodness there was an older save!) to get rid of the new lot. Will have to go check the Forum thread to see if anyone else had a problem. |

This is just crazy right now. The game says (y the time indicator) that it is 'supposed' to be top speed. It does not seem much faster than regular to me. Combine that with all the text and phone messages my Sim receives. That automatically slow the game to regular speed. |

| Lately, I have found that the fasted speed stops and stutters around. If I play in the second fasted speed it seems less jumpy.
I play mostly using my recording software and thought maybe that program was causing the lag. Also, Murkland's build seem huge and heavy with objects. Wondered if that was causing the lag also. .:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:. |

| Brennachan mentioned in a post that if the game starts to lag it might be too much inventory so the Sim can purchase a chest to hold the inventory and may go back to the home lot to use the chest for storage. This was from when I was playing the Overgrown Gym side challenge. So I did that and it was right after Fern filled the chest with all her inventory she couldn't use that the bills went over $1,000. Coincidence? |

| Phooey on the bill increase. I chose to not pay the bills so cannot offer a comparison. |

Yep, those chests will increase your household bills. If you have City Living you can use the yard sale table to store your sim's personal inventory and the items will not count towards your bills. At least that is what I understand. I haven't done it yet. .:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:. |

| I've dropped the Overgrown Gym challenge. Not sure what I'll do waiting for the new (2nd) Murkland Challenge. I tried playing the Fort Murkland Salamanders to have them purchase the Murkland Mercantile Company and just find out what they were about. Ran into a snag right away. There was a hooded Sim among the family and I put him at the Mercantile but he disappeared. I have no idea how to run a business as have not done so with Sims's 4. Guess I'd better look into it before I try again. I think the Sim maybe wasn't a member of the family.

| Hmmm I wonder if the hooded Sim was a family member who the game assigned to work at the Puffer Dome? Or the game did something else weird. Like THAT ever happens LOL |

| Wow. It's been quite a month. Still have awful pain on one side of my neck which tends to up into my head and give me horrid headaches. Over the counter pain tablets take the edge off but I'm worried may have a chronic condition. Went back to my Dr. last June ( 3rd time this year ) and she still thinks it's nerves and said not to come back until Jan. Lots of paper work to fill out and send off and phone calls to make sure the companies got what I needed to send. I think it's just waiting now. I should be OK.
Been working a little on my TS4 challenge of 5 generations. And a bit with Fern doing the what's left of the Gum challenge. She just can't seem to get ahead so it's good that she has finances left to live on from the Murkland challenge. She needs to finish the garden in the basement of the gym. She will probably be able to do everything but accomplish the earn 15,000 goal. |

| Helloooo! LOL....that's funny @EuphorialQueen I am hoping to have time on Friday to install and play a bit. My plans for the weekend are to play as much as RL will allow me. Any one had time to play around with the new options from the patch? I am excited for the new roof and resizing down of objects It's cold here and the leaves are falling....which is keeping busy at work. I hope everyone is well. .:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:. |

| I'm doing well. Leaves have pretty much gone here. It is still warm by my standards. The high today is 7C or 44F. Not quite T-shirt weather, but just a sweater weather. I really need a new winter coat so I'm hoping that the weather stays nice until I can get one. .:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:._.:*~*:. |

| Right now it is 50F/10C with a chilly breeze. Clear skies and sun but a sweater feels good. I do have a newer coat so I am set. I think of you @Buttonsginger outside racking leaves and send warm thoughts. Silly Shasta scooted out the door a few minutes ago thinking he wants to be outside. Luckily he does not go far and a friendly neighbor helped me get him back inside. {{Adventures in being a Pet Parent}} |

| Good to see you ladies are doing okay! I have been working on my living room this week trying to get it ready for my brother to come and texture the walls this weekend. I also have a wall in three other rooms for him to work on and then I can paint everything. I am hoping to have it all done by next Saturday because I am hosting a tea party. I think I set myself too many tasks... I have some volunteers for the painting part though so I think/hope it will get done. I hope everyone has a great weekend playing with pets. I am not sure I will be able to buy it yet. I still have to get more paint. |

| ? I took the pre download and couldn't believe when got the notice the game was available to play. Pretty, actually beautiful, town, isn't it? I made a Mojo for new sim James Dartman but Mojo is a she, not a he. Guess I forgot to change the gender. Want James to go into the vet career after he gets his pet trained so playing with ageing off for now. Eva what'sherface has moved in with them. Not sure why that happened. Probably because the opportunity kept popping up. I really don't know for sure, when or if, because her husband never told me for sure, but I'm believing Crazycatldy has passed away. I didn't see her or hear from her for about a month but had left messages for her everywhere and finally called her and her husband crabbly answered and said she was on Hospice and that was way last Oct, early or maybe end of Sept. I've been very sad, probably abetted by the dang dreary weather. She had a rough few years but is hopefully at peace now. Anyone want some of this rain? Please? My youngest is hosting Thanksgiving, thank goodness, and I'm making a dessert, Pumpkin Crisp, and Heavenly Hash ( which is a salad of many fruits mixed into whipped cream. A family recipe. In case I can't get back to visit, wishing everyone a lovely Thanksgiving Day. |

Thanksgiving is so close! I have a pumpkin pie in the freezer that I am saving for then. Mmmm Heavenly Hash sounds good. Have not had any in ages! |

| I have been without a PC since last Saturday! lol I did sneak on my husbands when I could,(only one could be hooked up in the bedroom while we worked on the living room.) We got the painting done and I spent Friday scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees! Oh man, I am still sore. I had a great tea party though, the ladies all had fun too. We played, "sniff the handkerchief", which was kleenex sprinkled with scented oils and they had to guess the scent, and we sang karaoke. It turned out well. I am happy to have my house back to normal, well mostly normal.... I think I am going to try and sim all afternoon.
