That's a lovely Valentine, EQ.
Something weird going on. The cursor doesn't always work and I'm having trouble typing messages. It disappears! And that's when I can't type here. What I type doesn't show up. So I will give up for now.

So my having trouble typing can be stopped if I have an ad blocker? Wow. Had no idea but it is so good to know it's not a virus. I have been so careful months since I had the computer 'cleaned' last winter.

I followed the link to the Sims 4 Forums and read all the info on EA customers having terrible problems with their TS4 game. It was a relief to know I wasn't the only one but depressing to find out the game is so flawed. I agreed with the one poster who admonished EA to fix the game Now. You would think these people would be able to plan the programming better for the game since they know ahead of time what's going to be added. scratch
I haven't tried the detective career yet, putting it off until I have more time to play, and was disheartened to read all the problems with that career. Some of the problems I remember having from that same career in TS3. Speaking of which I still have not gotten the store stuff back in that game. I can play it but I miss the worlds and stuff that came from the store. And for some reason the graphics don't look that great. ??
Will always hope that someday a company will put out a fun game like the Sims was.
Have one more dinosaur to make then will start on the trees. Still now sure how I"m going to put the blocks together to form the quilt as they are different sizes. Took pictures of the blocks and sent them to e-mail but have not gotten in my e-mail on the computer to download them so can upload them to Photobucket.

Took myself back to my doctors cause my neck and head were still paining me a lot. On the left side only. Pain stopped on the right side after I found out we didn't owe the nursing home anymore monies ( lawyers said we did, owe lots more and they should have known we didn't) and with that info was able to stop the application for state aid and let the lawyer know we no longer needed their services ( which they should have guessed since I wasn't paying the bills they sent for a renewal of service). I had written CBS Cares to see if anyone could advise me on how to get answers to my questions and within the week I was finally able to talk with state. And it turned out the accountant for nursing home had been ill and missed a week of work, Never heard back from NBC Cares but it doesn't matter now.cheers Dr says I 'm probably not doing the exercises for my neck ( which is causing the awful headaches) correctly and suggested I try physical therapy again more massage therapy. hmm When? ? ?

Did I tell you about my friend, from childhood, who's dog got attacked while they were walking in a park? Don't think so. 3 dogs jumped the fence around their yard and attacked the little Shelty( I think that's the breed) and my friend threw herself over her dog to protect her. She ended up bruised but OK but the little dog had to have numerous operations and they couldn't close two of her wounds so she had to go back to the vets every day to have those open wounds cleaned for over two weeks. The dog is back home now and healing. What a horrid ordeal.

Have a good weekend.

@Gramcrackers I haven't played Sims much lately. I've been playing Banished quite a lot, but I'm getting bored with that now. I'm glad you worked everything out with the nursing home. I hope the massage helps with your neck. That is so sad about your neighbours dog. I hope you had a good weekend.

I'm expecting my daughter and grandson for a visit this weekend. We are going to get our hair cut and celebrate Easter a little early as I won't be able to go to her Easter dinner, no transport.

I had sad news yesterday. One of my brothers-in-law has passed away from cancer. He was the second youngest of the 6, 5 boys and 1 girl, that my husband's parents had. There are only 3 left now. The second oldest boy (my sister's husband), the youngest boy and the girl, who is the same age as me. I don't know when the funeral will be yet, but I am hoping that I will be able to go and show my support to the family.

I'm so happy the weather is getting warmer. I have to say the winter hasn't kept me off of the balcony though. I sit out in the evening most days and enjoy the fresh air. Since I found out I no longer suffer from allergies, I have spent so much more time outside watching the birds and squirrels enjoying the peanuts my neighbour puts out for them and reading.

Have a great day everyone!

So sorry about your brother-in-law. Hope you can get transport to the funeral.

Not enjoying TS4 like I did TS3 but still hope to get the time to get 3 fixed up with the store worlds at least and a few store packs. Probably could do without most of the small 'stuff' but really would like the store worlds and hopefully the large sets in the game.
I, too, have been playing Banished. Spent my computer time all last week on a new game. Love starting up a game, giggle , and building up the community/village. Get bored after I've gotten everything, all buildings ( seem to always end up with 2 of each, or more) and all crops. Had been playing Folk Tale and things were going along well and suddenly we lost electricity just long enough to stop the computer. Haven't been back in that game since. It moves along faster than Banished, sometimes too fast for me.
I'm eating Easter dinner out with my youngest and his family. Without Bob. I finally decided It was ok for me to go without him and he wouldn't be able to eat most of the food and his wheelchair would be difficult as would getting him in and out of the house, in and out of a car, etc. I need to get away and have some fun.

Having a beautiful warm day today. It is such a treat after the crazy weather for so long. I actually have the windows open. Merry your balcony must be facing south for you to be able to get out on it in the winter. Smile Nice!

Happy Easter everyone, wether ( could not find the correct spelling! ) you celebrate or not.

So.... I asked my phone about the correct spelling and this it what I got

Quote :
WEATHER/WETHER/WHETHER. The climate is made up of “weather”; whether it is nice out depends on whether it is raining or not. A wether is just a castrated sheep. Such a sheep wearing a bell is a “bellwether,” and that's the correct spelling for the same word when it means “an indicator of change.”

Laughing whether was the spelling I was looking for. I miss being able to type in a word in the search and not lose the place where I'm currently typing. ' They keep changing things, and not for the better.'

@Gramcrackers Thank you. I was able to go to the funeral. My daughter came down on Friday and drove me there today. She brought me home again and is visiting until it is time to go home again tomorrow.

I play Banished the same way you do. I keep starting new games in different seeds. As soon as I have all the seeds and everything running great, I get bored. I still have that one game where I have played where I am trying for the 200 year achievement. I'm up to 152 years. No talk about boring with that one. It pretty much runs itself. I could leave and clean the whole apartment and not worry about them.

@EuphorialQueen That is a very interesting way if differentiating the various spellings.

Hello all. Sorry for being MIA lately but I have been suffering from another bout of Costochondritis, which makes it impossible to sit at the computer for any length of time. RL has also been keeping me very busy. I've had time to open my game twice in the last month and both times it needed to patch. Mad With my internet, patching is a very slow process.

We did get signed up with Verizon's Unlimited Data plan today but the equipment won't be in until Saturday. Hopefully next week we will have faster internet!

Have fun and hope all is well with everyone. hello6

Oh my Buttons! After reading what costochondritis is, it sounds very painful! I hope you are feeling much better now. I have never heard of that condition before. Learn something new everyday!

Hope you are better BG. Pain is quite debilitating and depressing. I'm still having severe pain from the knotted muscles ( so they tell me) in my neck. Sharp pain travels up behind my left ear and over it and sometimes there's just a hot burning spot. Finally went to a physical therapy place buy don't start until next Wed. Nothing I'm doing, have been doing, for the past few months has made it much better. There isn't pain if I don't move but I can't live like that.

My husband seem much the same but the past month has been eating less and sleeping a bit more. Middle son and his daughters are coming up at the end of the month for a visit. Looking forward to seeing them but feel bad they can't stay here as it wouldn't be comfortable for them to stay here. The guest bathroom has Bob's handicap equipment in it and since he also has the guest bedroom there is only the sewing room for sleeping and the couch downstairs. I guess everyone wants to be more comfortable than what can be offered here. I would like to be able to celebrate July's birthdays one day, sort of a family reunion. There are five birthdays next month, down from 8, and one the end of June which I lump in with the celebrants. Probably will have to have it here because of Bob. Would rather go to my youngest's house as he has more room and a pool. Cool Trying not to be concerned with what I can't control. No

Been doing yard work, gardening, and finally have all the pots planted with vegetable in each , surrounded by flowers. Gave up on the cleaning service and got yard cutting instead. Costs less and they do a nicer job. Unfortunately the back garden needs to be redone so hope to hire the same landscaper who did the job originally to fix things. I think maybe people walked on the stone backing and broke it down and maybe even carried off some stone as it is certainly missing. Will see if it can be cemented together this time.

Husband want's his cake 20 minutes ago. pale Better get on it.

Great coping mechanism but some things are difficult to NOT want to control.
Hope your new cleaning service works out and you can get your yard and garden back in order.
That should be one less worry.

Thank you so much ladies! You all are the best. BlowingKiss

The physical therapy session was nice.

MW, I played Banished again last Monday. ( this is crazy. My husband wears earphones because he has to have the sound very loud on the TV. I can still hear the TV through his earphones. VikgAxMad ) Got tired of his being in the loft every time I was there I got out my laptop and took it downstairs to the dinning table and got it updated and had to redownload the games again. Strange that skype was missing also but won't download that again. ) So I had one Banish save of over 100 people in the village. Kept me so busy I played it for over 2 hours without leaving the computer. Maybe the bigger saves are more challenging, though I have other saves on the other computer that have around 100 people in the village. ?

I'm looking forward to the GA son and granddaughters coming up for a visit. They plan on going to the Taste of Chicago. Everyone thinks they're crazy. I just hope they don't get shot or food poisoning.

Gram Windows 10 has it's own Skype App built into the system. No download required. It is only slightly different than the download version.
You will need to test to be sure it recognized your microphone if you use one.

I still have the one save that I am trying to get to 200 years. The final achievement. When I fire it up, I leave the computer to do other things. They are pretty self sufficient. I have the traders set up to automatically trade for stuff they need. So they don't really need me. I'm up to 152 years now.

When I'm not playing them, I keep starting new ones, then forget what I was doing with them. So I start another one. I seem to like the start better than when they are all set up.

My microphone will not work with Skype. So disappointing. My son-in-law in working with a big project at work and I don't want to disturb him 'till it's done.

I'm glad you enjoyed your physical therapy session.

I cleaned up my Banish saves. Got rid of some that were too slow or the terrain was just too difficult to deal with, but still have about half a dozen saves to fool around with. The itch to start a new game is terrible!
My Banished games are more organized than my Sims. I keep a list of each village played - name, number of citizens, crops and orchards they have, animal pens. All I do with my Sims is keep track of family members and the town they reside in.
Been playing a single Sim, Holly, in the detective career. She is engaged to Joseph Sirat youngest son of Olie and Spades, and brother of Allen, the oldest child, who has had two alien daughters by abduction,EQ, much to my surprise. An odd thing: Holly must have been visiting Joseph at his house, and I must have saved and quit the game with her still there. Cause now I have 2 Holly's, the one I'm playing and the one still at the Sirat's residence.
The detective Holly is having trouble finding her suspect to arrest. I saw the suspect across from Holly's house when Holly got home from work one evening, but when I tried to have Holly meet her the suspect ran off and has not been seen since. I fear as an NPC the game had no more use for her and got rid of her? It's been way too long so I'm going to go looking at the info on the detective career and see if Holly can just start another case. Holly's job objective is to make an arrest and that isn't going to happen.

I finally got a hold of the landscaper after getting permission from the association, but he had just sold his home and hadn't found another place to live yet and was going on vacation in a few days and his crew was busy through August. So, I called the mowing service since they do other types of yard work but they never called back. Also called another landscape service but they haven't returned my call either. My brother once said if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all. I'm beginning to see what he means. And here I thought things were getting better. sunny

My son from GA and his daughters, but not the wife, came for a visit over the 4th. We had a birthday party here for all the July birthdays on Sun. a pizza party. Boy was that pizza good! Then saw everyone again on the 4th. Bob was there also and did pretty well. He is skin and bones, a walking skeleton. He is not doing well.

Not going to get the rest of the posts read but maybe I can catch up next time.

I'm glad you get time to play Gram. Sounds like you had a wonderful holiday weekend. I do hope you can get the landscaping situation sorted.

Thank you MW. Finally got a hold of this Nature Scape and they sent me info and prices so will pick what I need and send it off. Prices weren't as bad as I feared they'd be. May just wait until fall to do the back garden as there are a lot of bulb plants, Iris and Lilies & Drumsticks which need desperately to be thinned out.
We have had such a huge amount of rain there's been flooding everywhere.

Going back to Carl Sim's site to re-read about the detective career. This time I will be sure to write things down.

Hi Everyone! @Gramcrackers Glad to hear you had a nice 4th with your family! Sorry to hear Bob is not doing well. Hope you get your yard shaped up like you want it this Fall.

I know what you mean by the rain. We've had 6 inches this week ....and it's only Wednesday!

I hope everyone is well!
