@Gramcrackers,

I can sympathize a little with the HBP medication problems. My mom has it and I have it. I should of never started taking the pills for it but the doctor at the time said I needed it and then I find out I could of tried other things first. They are always wanting to give my mom more pills for hers or change what she is taking. She likes herbs and always fights them on some of the things. HBP runs in my family on moms side. My grandma had it in the 200's and no one could understand how she was still alive. I personally think they don't understand what makes it go up and what a normal rate is. I just think some people have a naturally higher BP than others.

I hope you can get your pain under control too. Just being in pain can make BP be higher. Happy you are enjoying Netflix! It's good to have something to take our mind off problems.  Heart
 Absolutely agree with everything you said.  Alternative first for sure. I was so busy with Bob's stuff that I wasn't very vigilant.

Thank you everyone for your beautiful well wishes and encouragement. After I wrote about my trials I was sorry to have dumped. Have always been so healthy I'm rather  crabby complainer now  and don't know how to deal with it really.  Lying around all day on the couch is just not to my liking.  Got out today and yesterday for a little walk.  Must build up strength again.  It's been over 2 months now I've been struggling with whatever this is.  Scary to think I may never get better. No

That's a good idea MW. There's so many series to choose from I may have to roll the die.

Love your kitties lionpaws. They're just precious and so are their names.

Valentines Day was Ash Wednesday.  Did you know Easter falls on April Fools Day? giggle

Hi @Gramcrackers I hope your feeling a bit better each day.

I had no idea Easter and April Fool's day were the same day.

The bane of my existence is learning how to knit socks! After a day of messing around I have mastered how to get the needles in the correct position and the yarn facing the correct direction on said needles. Now to get the "leg"  section done and then turning the heel,  picking up the flap, gusseting the instep, knitting the foot, and making the toe.  Lol....considering I  spent yesterday afternoon refraining from throwing the yarn and needles across the room a dozen times, I have to wonder how long it will take me. I took these pictures so I could remember how to hold the needles!  Laughing

I hope everyone is well! Heart

I did make a couple hats. Here's one of them. I like hats...they are easy!

@Buttonsginger I'm proud of you for sticking to it. Socks are something I've never tried, although, I did buy a pattern book for socks once. I have used three needles for knitting other things. They were bigger and a little easier to handle. I was knitting a purse. I love your hat.

@MW Thank you! For the hat I started off with a circular needle and then moved the work over to 5 DPNs to close the top of the hat but starting the sock on the 3 DPNs was a totally different animal. It was so frustrating and I bought a more expensive sock yarn that is 80% Merino wool / 20% nylon and it pulls apart so easily I kept breaking it. Mad I've just finished the 2 inch ribbing and am starting the stockinette stitch for the tube. I hope I'll be able to turn the heel. Crossing fingers.

A purse, I bet it was lovely. I thought about making a small bag for carrying knitting stuff around. Thanks for the encouragement.

So much going on the next couple of months! I wish they'd leave the time change alone after they spring it forward.

My wedding Anniversary is this month, 20 years! I feeling older now. But I like my life more now so I wouldn't want to go back to when I was young and stupid. Laughing

I'm ready for spring and planting flowers and sneezing and thunderstorms. sunny flower eeek

@Pallystyle Congratulations on 20 years!

It's snowing here. Heavily. I hope they don't cancel my ride to get groceries. I've had enough of winter. Please go away.

I always wonder why everyone is so upset by the time change. It never bothers me. I find too many people look at the clock after the time change and think "It would be 'this' time if the time hadn't changed." I just look at the clock a think "It is 'this' time." and carry on with my day. I only have to change one clock and I change it the night before and never think of it again. It's worked for me for years.

@MerryWiddow I guess it's because we never changed time here until a couple years ago. If I am honest the Spring change doesn't bother me as much as the Fall change but I just don't like it. Seems like I just get adjusted and it's time to change again. Head Desk

Congratulations on 20 years @PallyStyle applause

Congratulations on 20 years Pallystyle.
The time change this Spring is bothering the choir because our director neglected to check when it was and has scheduled the choir for the 8:00 service this coming Sunday. That translates to 7:00 am which means getting up much earlier to be at church for 7:30 warm up. The later service would be a much easier transition.
The knitted hat is beautiful, BG. I've never knitted socks either. Made booties, soakers, and one sweater for my babies and later on tassel caps, mittens, and scarves. When I quit smoking I switched to crochet and went really crazy making afghans, purses, hats for Christmas gifts, and even crocheted a cape coat ( had slits for the hands ) in white for my mom. She loved it. I was relieved. The patterned knitted ties I made one Christmas did not go over. giggle I could never do that stuff again. Tried making chemo caps with ladies from the church but that didn't work out at all. So kudo's BG, don't give up.

My comp keeps freezing and when I start it up again Microsoft updates so I think they are the culprits.

Got the test results of the MRI and the awful pain I've been having is probably caused by a bone spur on my spine. I have to wait another month for appointment when they'll give me a cortisone shot. Bone spurs are not removed because they come back, so I was told. It's 4-5 weeks waiting between appointments because the doctor is so busy.

Spring was yesterday but you'd never know it. It's so cold!

@Gramcrackers I'm glad you finally know what is causing your pain. I hope the cortisone works for you. We are getting cold weather here too. At least it is above zero. Oh that's zero Celsius (freezing).

lol goodness MW! I have trouble computing between Celsius and Fahrenheit. But do know Celsius zero is 32 degrees colder than Fahrenheit freezing so it sounds so much colder.

Been working hard to get the internal swelling down cause I have less pain then. Been trying to eat a mostly gluten free diet and anti-inflammatory foods but no sodium or sugar. The last two are difficult to avoid let alone give up.

Having my lawn mowing service do a Spring Clean Up as it is beyond my ability now that it's been neglected the past few years. Should look neat when it's done but I'll have a tree to replace. There are many nurseries in the area so getting a new tree and eventually flowering shrubs shouldn't be difficult and maybe even fun.

Thank you MW. I researched cortisone so have an idea what it does. Though it only lasts a few months and you can't get too many in a year.

Happy Easter
