My goal is to continue losing weight. I've lost over 30 pounds so far.

@MerryWiddow I had one of those a long time ago. I kept it alive for a few years. Your's looks well tended. Wink

I bought one today, that said it needed low light and water when dry to touch. So we will see how long it lives... Big Grin

Like I said, Mr. Green doesn't need much tending, so even if I forget to water him he looks great. Hint: I set up a visual cue to help me to remember to water once a week. I live next to a church and when the parking lot is full, It's Sunday and time to water, occasional weddings and funerals aside.

On another note, make sure you keep your cat away from chewing on it. Here is an article from a veterinary clinic on the subject. It's a good, thorough article.

Good luck with your Mr. Green.

Thanks for the link! My daughter's cat runs around alone at night in the house so I'll have to figure out a good place to put it.

@Pallystyle Maybe you could put it hanging somewhere and keep it trimmed. They do well as hanging plants.

That is awesome! It's too cold to walk outside and I'm having trouble getting the treadmill set up in the garage. It belonged to my daughter-in-law and I'd love to use it. Garage needs cleaning out and it's too cold to do that too!

Happy New Year everyone!

Did you know: Algid comes from the Latin word algēre, meaning "to feel cold."
No matter how you say it this frigid icebox weather is getting really old really fast!
Please stay warm and safe. And bring those pets indoors.

Truly hope it will be a good one. Anyone have special goals to meet this year?
Mine is to get healthy again or get used to the way it's going to be. Smile Daunting either way.

Hello everyone!

Let's see......the usual to lose weight is right up at the top.

I've been knitting so short term is to finish my current project.

Show more patience to others.....that's a hard one.

To take life as it comes and enjoy it.

Be thankful for my family and friends, including all the wonderful simmers I've met throughout the years.

Of course, to make time to play The Sims!

All the best for everyone!

I do have projects for this year:

1. It's my younger son's wedding this September and I want to make them a quilt. It's the first time I do a machine sewn top, so it's not as perfect as the hand sewn I've done so far, but it's sturdier and goes much faster Smile
I was asked to show some of the progress, here is a picture of what I have so far:

It measures 36" x 36" right now, the finished quilt will be 102" x 102"

2. I'm thinking about getting a cat. I have never had an animal except rabbits and fish, so I'm a little hesitant.

Hope all your hopes and projects will turn out well!

Your quilt is gorgeous! Love the rich browns... reminds me of coffee CoffeeSip
Cats are great pets. You might consider a bonded pair from a shelter. The pair will keep you and each other company.

Your quilt is turning out lovely, @lionpaws! I love that pattern. We are cat lovers here so I would say go for it! I think EQ's idea about getting a bonded pair from a shelter is great. Wink

I've been keeping most of my daily goals, get up earlier, exercise, keeping the plant alive and such. My kids have the flu right now so I'm not sure how the next few days will be, and then we have some good old real life drama to deal with. I think it's funny how people always seem to make a big deal over nothing. Rolling Eyes Just hoping it all gets settled soon. I'm about out of chocolate... giggle

Oh! What a gorgeous quilt @lionpaws Heart I look forward to seeing your progress.

I miss having a cat. I would say to adopt, they are such fun and fluffy!

Oh no....sounds like a chocolate run is in order! Hope everything shakes out well @PallyStyle BigHug

Our weather is calling for freezing rain during the morning rush hour and then 2 to 4 inches of snow. We may have our first school snow day of the winter.

I've been working on a scarf for my son. 3 weeks work, so far and just about half way done with the length.
