PostSubject: Baby bugs in City Living?   Wed Nov 02, 2016 3:36 pm

As in sims who are having babies. I was on the officials and there were some simmers who have had issues with the bassinets being placed outside of the apartment. When trying reset sim, they get a notification that their baby was removed due to them being negligent. Another simmer had reported having an issue where their sim was being propelled into another room upon waking and also was propelled into the elevator shaft.

SimGuruNick asked these players to send him their saves so the team can look into why this is happening. Hopefully there will be answer and a fix before many more babies/sims come up missing or stuck in the elevator shafts.

My sim can't see walls - she often walks through them (both at home and other places).

She has eaten at every food stall but she has only learned 26 receipes. I tried in a new game with another sim but the result is the same. I have written the receipes name down so I haven't forgotten one. She has 2 number 26 not a 27. I wonder if there is a special receipe hidden somewhere hmm

I also had a tiny problem with the electricity in her appartment. I called the caretaker and he "fixed" it. Then the appartment went all dark and it couldn't be fixed and my sim was forced to move to a new appartment. In her new appartment I had a little problem with her front door. It was half closed after the welcome wagon had left. I tried a lot of thing and finally it went back to normal.

I don't know if it is small glitch in the game or just my game confused

I came across this thread on the officials. It appears you aren't the only one having/had the electrical issues.

I was already to grab my copy this Wednesday, but I may consider holding back and waiting to see if or when there is a patch to fix all the bugs/glitches. hmm

Went into buy mode and found these in my family inventory: Letters by the pile and Direct from the fans....my sim is in the social media career.
She only had the option to "view" and they made her focused. I don't remember getting any type of notification that my sim had received them.  They sell for about 8 simoleons each.

@EuphorialQueen You are most welcome!

I have not encountered those issues but have had a few other problems.
A NPC has called my sim a few times while she's sleeping to invite her to some cool sounding events ( the Circus for one ) and she accepts but doesn't wake up, just keeps sleeping.
When he invited her to go to a Karaoke bar for a singing event, she did get there but when she sang the challenge bar didn't register any of the 3 times she sang She sang a duet and a few solo's.

The apartment Aster is in has a fix it Gremlin so nothing has ever broken. Nice.

One that I have noticed appearing in my game was the invite to opera, circus, etc. I thought it was just normal and part of the way the game was set up that they just disappear then show back up with a statement of what they thought or felt of which ever event they got invited too. Apparently this isn't the case and I hope the team is working on a fix.

I had also had some issues yesterday while playing, I sent my guy out to do a protest for his political career and chosen cause. He lives in Up Town and I sent him down to the street and had him do his thing. A couple times I would notice this glitch where all the NPC's around him would snap from sitting to standing.

So many issues with this ep. I'm feeling a repeat of TS3 coming. Head Desk

My Sims live in an apartment and when the baby was born it spawned in the conman area/inside the shell/on the street or other inaccessible locations.

Now I can’t take care of the baby and it’s on the verge of being taken away.

Cribs appear in inaccessible locations

I saw that. Whew! But I couldn't find anything about this update queue thing. Did see that someone else's Medieval was in for an update too. But no information on how long it might take. It just seems so unusual. Won't get to play today. bah

My update (today's patch) also showed as in queue.
Trying this now

I had the same issue but then I went offline and back online and it worked and my game is finished updating now… not sure if it will work for everyone but worth a try? Oh and I can also update game now as well.

Edit:
Signed out of Origin and closed it. Opened Origin and signed back in and It Worked!

The next day when I opened Origin and signed it the update started immediately. Was very relieved!
Aster had a baby and it ended up in in her apartment OK.
