EQ, in the update center, is there an option to Clear? Because I'm already updated I can't go back to see what I did. No

One thing you might want to do is click on the Error and if there is the option for more information click on it. I believe a window will open up and give you some options to get more info.

You should be getting yours soon. They are rolling it out in waves so their servers don't crash.

What I want to know is do all the Sims versions work on Windows 10? I'm especially interested in Sims 2 Ultimate Collection as that is what I play most. Has anyone checked it out?

Hey MW. So far I haven't had any issues with TS4 or 3. I have TS2 UC but I didn't like the way it was running on W7 or it could just be my PC just doesn't like it! thinkin I should try re-installing it and giving it another shot and see what happens. I'll keep you posted!

Thank you. I've had no problems running Sim 2 UC on Windows 8.1. I have read that it should work on Win 10 if you run it with compatibility Windows XP (SP3). That is what I have it set on in Win 8.1.

@MerryWiddow, I downloaded and installed TS2 UC and have had no issues running it. You should be good to go. It actually looks better in Windows 10 than in Windows 7.

Thank you so much. Minecraft and Sims 2 are the only games I play, so I was worried that I would be out of luck if I installed.

You're so welcome MW! Glad I could check it out for you...and on the plus side to that, once I got it downloaded and installed I just had to play! Boy it took some getting used to all over again. LOL but it was great to play an old time favorite. Wink

Origin not running (d3382ced:984c6a38:00000000)

When I try to start the game, I get the following error message: Unable to Start: Origin is not running, make sure that it is running before attempting to play the Sims 4 [d3382ced:984c6a38:00000000]

OriginNotRunning

Cause
The Sims 4 needs the latest version of Origin installed. This message is very common if you upgraded to Windows 10 (or if you run an illegal version in which case you're out of luck)

Solution
Uninstall your current version of Origin and download the newest one from here: http://origin.com/download. Then install that.

If you're still having issues, do a manual, clean uninstall of Origin by following instructions here: Manually Uninstalling the Origin client and then try to install the newest version again.

You won't loose your games by uninstalling Origin but you temporarily can't play them. Make sure to login with the same account after reinstalling.

I've upgraded to Windows 10 and so far Minecraft, Sims 3 and Sims 2 UC work fine. I haven't checked Sims 4. I'm sure it will run fine, but, frankly, I don't really care.

I am thrilled that Windows 10 works for all your favorite games. thumbs up
Still waiting for my confirmation and decided not to rush the issue.
I am still on Windows 7 Home Premium which was pre-loaded n the computer when I got it a :few: years ago,
Being an older machine may be why mine is delayed but -meh- I can wait a bit longer.

PS: We need one of these.

Today is the day. I had to pay the devil Devil to get Webroot uninstalled. The most current version was easy to uninstall. But there was a Spy Sweeper version that just would not be turned off, uninstalled or deleted.
Finally had to start in safe mode so I could change the settings {Webroot Spy Sweeper}so it would not start with my computer.
Sims 4 looks good! Still exploring to see how everything else works.

Did you get windows 10 installed then?

I've been watching The Tudors the last week or so and though about going into Sims Medieval and making the cast before I upgrade to Windows 10.

Hmmm Having trouble with Mouse and Keyboard just turning off?
The are attached by USB and not wireless so Power should not be an issue.
I found a setting in the Power Options that shuts down - or puts in sleep mode - the USB ports.
Kind of a dumb thing if you ask me.
Have also had Origin crash a few times. Not even running any games just trying to start Origin.
I saved a copy of my Sims 4 folder - just in case - and Uninstalled Origin and did a fresh Install.
No more crash *Shhh*

For a couple of weeks I was getting the same problem when I brought up Origin launcher ( the box you sign in to access your games). It would update for a few minutes then tell me there was a problem and I needed to get a new Origin. So I did but still got the update and same message. As I was sitting staring at it trying to think what I was going to do it came up and I was able to access my games. This little game went on for quite awhile and I just noticed last week it finally quit. So far so good.

One issue I have noticed, every time I get an update and it is auto installed, it turns off my security. I have McAfee as it was free for me to have through my internet provider and based on the type of package I have. So I get these pop up messages of anti-virus/spyware and firewall warnings and have to turn on McAfee every time. It's getting kinda irritating.

That is kind of .... pumpkin scary.
I had to totally get Webroot off my computer to update to Win10.
I installed a fresh version under my subscription thru BestBuy where I got the computer.
So far *Knock Wood* it has not been turned off by Windows updates.
Has McAfee been updated?
