Did a pool and guest room basement for the park in WC. Now sims can spend the night there. Smile

Thanks! I actually did not think I would be able to add plants in a basement, but was able to without cheats.  Smile

I have a place for weddings on the lot so if someone has too much bubbly he or she can stumble over and spend the night here.

Thanks! I am glad you like it. It took me a while to figure it out with the floor or ceiling deletions, but it is pretty darn cool. I still do not like to have to build in sections though all the time and wish we could turn that on or off and sometimes build 3 style. I can build so much faster in 3 than 4.

I haven't bothered with TS4 yet and the basement tool yet. It looks like a useful tool, but I read about some bugs on twitter. Some had been solved quite soon, but then more was reported. Always good to have someone who bothers to take those issues on.

Oh yes, and I saw your house daisylee. I was wondering where the kitchen was until I read about your staying the night in the park issue Smile It looks quite complicated too, good job Cool

Thanks! It was fun to do. The building in 4 is getting better, but we just need more space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in shock that in the new EP all we get for building is one empty lot. Shame on EA.

Love it! I haven't actually fiddled around too much with building yet as far as basements go. But I do love how simple they have made it! I'm really loving the basement tool. Heart

Very nice, Daisy. For having a basement do you have to build from scratch or can you add a basement to an existing house? I'm still learning the building and have only build one house. Mostly I renovate.

We can add to an existing lot and even under a house with a foundation. If there is a foundation the stairs adjust to the right height.

I just tried the tool yesterday. I managed to make a courtyard kind of place with a basement with a pool then 2 floors up to the house's roof terrace. It's still a bit annoying how the game resets the floor when I have fence all around the courtyard. Removing it again didn't quite work. I have good lighting, perhaps a bit too good in the loggias by the pool in the basement, considering the hole in the ceiling is only about 4x6 or something.

The hole in the ceiling is about the same size as the pool in this basement, very tiny, and look at the amount of light in the hallways or loggias as I call them.

I just lifted the foundation after building the structure, no problem. As James says in the basement video earlier up, it looks a bit silly. I don't care though, I would much rather have the chance to work with it.

Looks good so far. I noticed there is a lot of light in the open plant areas in the one I did. I like that though. Smile
