I saw that. A very good deal. I picked up the "Cities of Tomorrow" for download but it hasn't become available yet for me to download. I wonder why? I do not feel like dealing with those people again this weekend after an all day marathon last week trying to get my name back to it's original spelling. No go. Now someone else has it.

I got the Cities of Tomorrow also, and it looks like it's just added to your list of expansions when you click on the information icon on the main game.  I haven't started the game yet to verify though.

So, if I am reading this correctly, the Complete Edition comes with base game plus the sets you've listed. Looks like it's still on sale for around 17 more hours.......hmmmmmmm....it's tempting.  Thanks for posting the link thumbs up

Edit: I got it giggle Now, to find the time to download it.....with my net it will probably take a week Razz

Wheeeeeeeeeee....Ummmmmmm....I am totally stuck. I've looked for tutorials. Still confused. Where are the add on sets located? I can't find them. Do you have to pick a specific world to have them available?  I am playing offline....maybe that's why. Hurumph scratch

Edit: I found the landmarks you have to place to use the city sets. They are under the culture tab.

Any links to something helpful would be greatly appreciated. SOS Help

Edit:

Ummmmmmm...do not let the fire chief have a fireworks display!
Edit: Actually, my town received 50,000 for completing the challenge some of houses that burned down were low income and were replaced medium income...Chaaaa Ching!

I'm trying to remember why I didn't play this game anymore, I wonder if I just got bored Sleep

Is that the 2013 edition? or is it the simcity 4? I have a collector's edition though.

I found a cheat list for 2013 here: http://www.cheatcc.com/pc/simcitycheatscodes.html

Simtropolis: http://community.simtropolis.com/files/category/17-simcity-2013/

There's so little mods made for the game on simtropolis. I read something about troubles in the beginning, but perhaps people have just found somewhere else to upload content.

BG, what challenge did you do in your SimCity game to get 50,000?
I was having horrid time with crime and fires then was told to go slow, when developing a city. Not a lot of patience with slow but I finally devised a system where I get the game set up and while waiting for funds to add up to be able to add civic buildings, etc. to the area, I go paint and that keep me from messing my game up. Also adding a grade school as soon as I can helps. Smile I haven't gotten any important future buildings as yet but only cause there isn't enough money. Did futurize an area and took a pic of the weird looking looking homes to post sometime.

The fire chief wanted to give a fireworks show. I accepted. A challenge then popped up to have less than five fires in a day. After a few days I got the simoleons.

I've been checking the area right way with the oil/ore/coal maps. If there is any area I can use I put a dirt road across the area so I don't build over it. Then I put down a lot of housing and plop some medium land value parks down so I can get the medium to high wealth houses in right away.  I get a grade school down as soon a possible, along with a library.

I put the Academy down in one of my towns. As as I upgraded it (by completing research) I was able to purchase a Science annex and then I could research for a sewage sanitizer, which cleans up the ground pollution from the drainage pipes.  Make sure you already have ControlNet in your city or region or you can't use the sanitizer....I learned that the hard way!

In another town I plopped down  a solar energy plant and then this critter attacked my town...not sure if it was a coincidence or or not. He destroyed the town hall and a few high income houses. I plopped a new town hall down and it was still at the same upgrade level as the old one so that was good.

I think if you use the high tech looking water tower and some of the high tech parks it seems to make the houses look more futuristic . Oil is a cheap way to make some money. The pumps are fairly inexpensive but you need a trade depot with a crude oil storage lot.

I've been upgrading my streets (I start with low density) as I go and a couple apartment buildings have popped up.  I think I read some where that you can't upgrade a street to an avenue so if you want skyscrapers you need to start with the medium density avenues.

I haven't made anything from the oil or ore yet....I've been powering with the wind turbines mainly but I think I am gonna have to break down a buy a power plant of some type.

Good going! I have done a lot of that but learned the hard way about the roads. Had trouble with getting a wealthy area, then learned that the avenues will make the apartment buildings so only use them for the downtown now. I like the ave. because it's easier to upgrade for the streetcar avenue when/if needed.

I try to develop drilling or mining as soon as possible if the area has the resources. I ran into a problem with one city where no matter what I did they always needed oil. That particular city had 2 separate oil business so one exported and the other kept for own use.
There's still a lot for me to learn.

Sooooo....I installed the SimCity app for my phone.....which made me itch to play my PC game. I've played the last several times I've had time to do any gaming. I play in the single player mode.

I found it is much more efficient to start with the medium density street in a small area and then upgrade the streets and and services and parks for population growth, instead of spreading out the town at first.

My first disaster. Aliens! LOL....not much damage thank goodness.
