PostSubject: Stove Burner Conversations   Wed Nov 12, 2014 11:20 am

If there are two sims sitting or even standing near the kitchen table and a third sim joins the conversation, the third sim will face the stove and the burner turns on while the conversation continues. This has happened several times, with several sims.

Anybody else notice this?

I searched through the official forum and Crintict's blog but didn't see anything like it posted. It doesn't seem to bother anything really, it's just odd.

Posted on the officials here

Thanks CD, I'd be interested if you see anything.

There were a few comments on my thread in the officials and at least  a few people have been experiencing this also.

Anyway, I put a more expensive stove in and all was well for a few sim days but then it started happening again.

Never noticed that before. Wonder if it is like the glitches that came with the pool patch?
My YA SIM autonomously picked up the Kid violin and started playing it.

I think it's very possible. Someone posted on my thread on the officials that a grill does the same thing on a patio in a save.

Just be glad the burner is on low. Smile My Sims have been getting a hugh 'Flash in the pan" when cooking. The fire flash seems to cover their whole upper body but they don't catch on fire from it. When a stove breaks it gets a blowtorch burner. I assume this is normal.

I remember that huge flash in the early stages of the cooking skill for my sims, it's frightening!

Yes, I think the blowtorch burner is normal Suspect Wink

In the early stages of learning to cook I can understand the flash fire happening but this had been happening, a lot, lately and my Sim is level 8 or 9. She did recently lose her husband and has been 'down' in spirits so maybe that has set things back. Haven't been quick enough to get a picture.

I don't see this happening in my game .... I do have a level 8-9 Chef who's daily activity is "cooking meals" .... so she's at the stove quit often ... none of the flash fires are occurring nor have I noticed the "burner" issue confused

Thanks for checking CD. I am guess I have a small kitchen area and many sims trying to have a conversation. A sim must pop into an available slot and it just happens to be the one to trigger the stove top. confused
