Might that be the McDonald Douglas DC9? Big Grin

Farming looks like it could be quite good economics, very different from real life then, it's hardly possible to brake even.

A very good story and fun to read.
I wondered about the difference in the pricing of harvested fruit/vegetables too. I'd get different prices from the same plant and the harvest might be worth $23 one time and then go down the next time. So, I wondered if it was the fertilizer used and started paying attention and would check the price of the plant's 'fruit' before harvesting it so I could use same or higher in value fertilizer. And I'd keep the highest value 'fruit' of each category of vegetation and sell the rest. I read that fish is the best fertilizer and the more experienced the fisherman the higher the value of fish, of course. So, I had my Sims fish but would then not find time right away to fertilize and the darn fish would spoil. Now, I would think spoiled fish would be OK to use for fertilizer but evidently not in the Sims.

I haven't tried fertilize much, only once I think. I sell it and get highest about 23 now, but I add more plants as I see I can manage it. I'm not sure fertilize really pays, I lose the pay for them as well. It looked in the list like 23 was the highest for grapes I think. I only have bananas, apples and grapes, and the grapes pays best without the fertilizer. I don't get that much from them though. Like I end up having more than a 100 apples and get more than 1000 for them, I can't get that much from the grapes. The grapes being smaller bushes as well, it's more work I think for each bush, and less fruit from it, but I'm not a mathmatician.

As I'm only looking for the most back for my work for this challenge, how much work it is for the fruit I plant is very important as well. I don't really want to sit here all day tending fruit with 5 adults, doing jobs and skills as well, on only speed 1. I can queue up the actions though, but still.

They don't really live that long either, and they need regular jobs to advance in this challenge.

Oh yes, spoiled fish Big Grin We call them all kinds of things up here and they are delicious some say. I think they all smell funny No I don't like bacalao either pale

At the moment I have 8 living in the house again. Both Kayla and Reese died. The oldest now is Hanna, and I just keep losing the grip on the geneology. Hanna was the daughter of Lisa and Chi, Lisa the daughter of my starting couple. That makes her the 3'rd generation, or the grand daughter of the original couple.

Hanna has 3 younger half sisters, Tina, Leanna and Nola. Hanna got two babies, Henriette and Henning jr, they are the fourth generation, yes that's it Laughing I had some troubles aging up Henriette, she needed a cake apparently. She just needed a few more skills to get to grade A before aging up to teen, so it's all good.

Henning was a whizz kid and he leveled nicely. I was about to give him a cake, but then he aged up on his own Mad Suddenly he was a young adult!! Then I thought something strange happened to Nola's partner as well, but it may look like I was a bit hysterical after the premature aging up of Henning. I just restarted the game without saving and back in it all looked nice.

I had Henning digging for some stones, but that didn't pay much and some of these things found their way into a silly collection I couldn't sell.

I had decided that since Hanna found herself such an old guy I needed more babies from someone else. I sent Nola out to have some fun. She found two guys, to me they both look asian and both have the same hat. One of them vanished again though, so Steve had to do.

I moved him in and he turned out to be early young adult, perfect. Romantic, bookworm, gloomy and gregarious? ... what's that? It reminds me of gregorian hymns or something? He had the friends of the world asp again, I changed it to fab wealthy as the rest.

Here is Henriette with the birthday I was forced to arrange.

I managed to get Nola pregnant with Steve. One little baby and again it's a girl, it must be a curse in this family.

This time I just wanted that hilarious picture of an aging up Lillian high five

Achievement now is 377k. I have made some houses, but I also have 5 YA and just A in this house now and they earn tons of money.

Hanna: the oldest sister, daughter of Lisa. She has 2 days to be an elder sim. Independant Consultant in the programming prof, earn 185 pr hour, and probably that is the second last step on that ladder. She might level before she ages up.

Tina: second oldest sister, daughter of Lavrans. 5 days to she becomes and elder. She just chose branch to the next big thing. She needs one more skill in programming and 250 from mobile app royalties, and some experience before leveling up. Earns 98 I think.

Leanne: twin sister of Tina, and she just leveled to front page writer, she needs 1 more skill in writing and write 5 articles before leveling up, and some experience. 5 days before she levels up, and she has to send off some books. I can't believe I forgot to do that. No money coming in without publishing.

Nola: younger sister of Tina and Leanne, daughter of Lavrans. She is waiting for something to level up to adult. I may have to force a cake on her as well. She's a professional painter and that has to be very close to the top. She needs 3 more excellent paintings in 3 different genre to level, and some experience. Earns 140 pr hour, and much more for each picture.

Steve is Nola's spouse: He's 5 days away form adult hood. He just started his writing career, and needs some more experience as a blogger to level up. Earns 32 pr hour.

Henriette: daughter of Hanna and she has just started out as teen. I chose manual labor as her parttime job, she needs one more skill there to level to 3 I think. 59 pr hour. She will level to B grade if she has the experience for it next school day.

Henning: son of Hanna and he was thrown into teen as a B grade student at the same time as Henriette almost. I need to find him a job. I was planning for him to take on much of the gardening when he grows up.

Lillian just started school and needs to do her homework and gather skills on social and such.

I bought that microscope thing and suddenly my bills was above 5000, without it they're down to 2500. It's the same I earn from one day of royalties or perhaps not even that. Royalties I have more of than bills ... I think. Anyways I keep adding on funds, so I'm doing good me thinks.

Thank you CD9, the way this is going I need 4 more generations to finish up, or perhaps even more Laughing

Nola just made the last masterpiece she needs to level up. I lost it trying to engage the agent. I called on the phone, but he didn't take the picture, I just had this message I didn't see before it vanished.

I just ditched that save and went back one save instead. It gives me more time as well. Anyone knows how that agent works for pictures.

Carl knew:

Quote :
Hiring an Agent
You will also be able to hire an agent. Call the Agent to occasionally get bonus money ($80, $200, $500). It seems you could make a career of calling the agent most of the day, at least once you're level 8-10 in the Career. It gets better the higher you are, as the agent will gradually tell you he has nothing for you less often. At level 9, I called multiple times in a row and got a donation each time. If the Agent says they got you a deal to sell to a collector for higher than market value, just take the money that is given with the call. You always get 50% more from Masterpieces. The $500 IS the bonus money as far as I can tell, so I'm not sure what the game is talking about!

When Henning can't do any romantic interactions with a a girl, does that mean she's a teen?

I believe so, that just happened to me yesterday, when my teen aged up, and tried to be romantic with her childhood boyfriend .... no option for romance! Thanks for the tip in the Art Career .... that'll come in handy!

Thank you for your encouragement everyone BigHug

Achievement_8 by Volvenom, on Flickr

Yesterday i got to 601k. It's going so fast now suddenly. My bills increased to 3000k, I'm not sure why. I got another easel, but that's just pocketmoney really.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

I sent Henning and Henriette the 4'th generation out to find a spouse. Here Henning found the perfect match, she was perfectionist and loves outdoors, just like him. Only she turned out to be almost old. I kicked her out from the manage worlds and clicked on the house to manage household and then delete the poor girl.

The venue is my own Alna Lounge: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=538835

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

It was just so many old people in the bar. I guess grey hair means they are too old for Henning or Henriette.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Then I found a blond girl out on the street, and she doesn't seem to be blond at all. Where did I get that from? Anyways Henning couldn't do any romantic interactions with her, so I guess that means she's just a teen. There is no storyprogression in the hood in this game either, so waiting for her to age up will be a waste.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Then finally Ashely comes along. She's the bartender and has mixology skills 9. That's the hard skill to earn, so I put her in the chef profession. She will probably never gather enough experience to level higher than that anyway.

Both the twins Tina and Leanna is now dead, and my royalty earnings was around 4000 before that, should be interesting to see how that goes.
