The points earned can go towards adding traits or getting potions. I will get a link and info and add to the challenge thread later. Right now duty calls. Got to get some work done so I can play later.

I agree with CD9, I had trouble with just managing one, now 3 after wedding and a baby. I think for this challenge it's staying at that amount, hopefully, I don't see that happening though. I usually play my sims at the longest life span possible, never normal, so this challenge I've had to learn to speed things up a bit.

Thank you everyone for your encouragement thumbs up I don't know how long I will be able to keep this going, a few hours per day perhaps Smile

Skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Hanna got to an A student actually before aging up to teen, her younger siblings finds it much harder. Thanks for the tip on portions, perhaps I can get them to energized before school one day, I need that for B student as you may know Smile

Skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Kayla is still quite fond of her spouse so making one more baby and marry them was quite easy. Lisa and Chi is much closer to hating each other though, so I just have to settle for one kid there, that's Hanna Smile

Skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Lavrans needed to get some starry constallation eyes or something for the next level, I kind of thought it had something to do with looking at the star at night. I took him out with Kayla, and I found the action a couple of times, but it vanished from the queue. I didn't get that to work, but they got married instead Rolling Eyes

Skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Ting is now the oldest and here he dies so I'm again back to 7 people in the household.

Skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

This is how a house with 8 people look on a daily basis.
The last baby in the crib asking for attention, and gets it from one of the twins. Ting is napping on the bed. That is annoying, here I try to organize 8 people and they can't even go to bed when their are tired I have to change nap to sleep confused

Lisa is standing green in a corner of the main room waiting for the next action. I have the game on max autonomy or what it's called.

Kayla in that silly green dress is cleaning plates, probably not something I told her to. Hanna is on her way to something I probably told her to do Cool

The other twin is sitting by the computer, yet another action I wouldn't tell her to do. Lavrans is the only man in the house when Ting dies poor man, he's sitting on the couch.

In the corner of the room you can see a plate of food, that is fast and easy and they gain cooking skill for making it. It's a serving platter. I now have two bathrooms because they are too many for just one.

I also got them a bar so Kayla could get some skills, with all the people in this household there's always someone to play the customer. I replaced the punching bag I bought originally with one of those you run on, it's more useful for the astronaut as they level.

Another benefit from such a household is all the skills they get from just living with the other people, like the kids social skills, carisma and the chess table is good for both and logic. It could be that I run about half of what they do at this level. I want them to gain level and earn money. This game is like sitting on the bed in the bedroom eating while they have 4 others to talk to, they also sit on the bed. I think it's efficient Smile

Great progress. I usually get bored too, but I have multiple projects and when I get bored with one I move on to another. I rotate and eventually get back around.

Is there only one bathroom? How do you manage with only one bathroom with 8 Sims?

I have two bathrooms.

Yes, I'm about to make a house as well in a different game, we'll see how it goes to combine these two games.

Where was I? ... anyways end of todays session this is the standing.

Lisa is now almost to the top. She has programming skills 10, and has 795/2000 royalties paid for video game products. She earns 371 per hour. She's now the oldest, at bit more than half way through her old age.

Lavrans a bit younger than her. Earning 179 as a Planet Patrol. I gave him all the 7 friends he needed a bit early, so I probably have to work more on that.

Kayla was impossible with the mixology skill, she just didn't want to read that book! I made her quit that job and just program on the computer to gain skills and money. She's closing in on old age.

Hanna is YA and just got her first job as a programmer again. She has already fulfilled the needs for the first level.

Leanna is still in high school, but leveled to A and will grow up in 1 day.
Tina her twin sister is equally accomplished. Both have leveled their jobs to 2.

Nola is teen and needs more time before she can level to B.

Today I was working a lot on trying to find a spouse for Hanna.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

I took them all out to the park on saturday. Lavrans needed more friends to level as well.

I made Hanna talk to this guy a lot just to figure out what skills he had. He was a bookworm, active and one more. Hanna seemed to find him ok, so I moved him in. Now they have to be friends and get a baby. They have to wait with the baby until old mum Lisa dies. The house is full.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Reese Mays turned out to be half way through adult and hadn't done one thing with his life this far. I mean how is it possible to go through life almost to an adult and only having skills on 1 and 2? I wonder if I made the two's the moment I moved him in lol. He had a "friends with the hole world" aspiration, not for me. I changed it to fabulously wealthy again, as they seem to earn more that way.

He is bookworm, active and foody. I gave him a job as a writer.

I expanded the house as well. I'm not sure that's such a good idea, the bills might just double.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

I added a second floor and some windows.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

I had old mother Lisa to think about, I didn't have the heart to give her a single kids bed. I also wanted more space for more computers, as Kayla needed one to earn her worth in this house. I now have two computers upstairs, as well as one downstairs. I was also hoping they wouldn't bring their food upstairs to eat. It gets annoying after a while, when some want to eat and some want to sleep, but they can't all use the same bed.

Rosebud Achievement3 by Volvenom, on Flickr

Progress now is like 202871 even with the house another floor.

Great update and progress! My sims have a hard time making friends in this game, much less a "romantic attraction" ... I've only been piddling with the game for a few hours, but my one sim went thru her entire Adult phase without a single romantic interest ... earned enough for a potion to age her back though Razz , so will keep on trying!

I just move them in and make them interested giggle I don't have time for much poking around if I'm going to finish this challenge. Usually I would just make them a spouse myself and move them in together as merging the household. I just make sure they have something in common first, or not if I want some drama Smile

Thanks. I expanded the house and suddenly the bills was like 1132,- lol. Most of it must be the second floor, perhaps all on one floor is better.

CD9 to make them friends I just put up a long list of friendly and funny interactions combined with lots of flatter and nice talking along the way. If it doesn't work go find someone else. These creatures are different, and sometimes they are shy, mean or have other non compatible sides to your sim.

When I say I'm not a player it's just because I find it hard to keep up with the playing side of things when what I really want to do is make houses. Otherwise than that I have been "playing" since TS2 first came out, so I have an idea on how it works, it's just hard to keep up that's all.

I'm wondering if I should move my family to the biggest lot and start farming. I was wondering if that could be harvested and sold. I just stumbled on this list of prices for the top quality of each plant on mts, it's very useful: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=537627

I moved the family to the biggest lot Oakenstedt or whatever and bulldozed the house. I sold all the items in the original house.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

I try to keep the house full all the time. In the second generation Lisa was the first one to die. Standing on the left is Lavrans, it's his time soon. Hanna is in pink on the right, beside her husband, Reese. In the background one of the twins Leanna/Tina, and Nola the youngest standing in blue and green with very pale almost green hair.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

In the new house I continued with the one main room and bedrooms away from it setup. I wanted to start a farm so it made sense having the farmplants in the middle. I kept it only one floor as another floor seemed to add on tons to the bills.

I had bills around 2700, but then I put in one of those climbing things and the creative table, and more plants, and suddenly the bills skyrocketed to 5000 something. It may still be good as the plants are well fed, but the price I get for them is a bit confusing. I have all 7 old enough in the house weed, water and harvest. I had prices for the grapes on 23 but then suddenly they dropped to 11 again.

It's hard with so many people all their skills for work, school or whatever and then having one person doing nothing but the plants.

Sell items scavaged by Volvenom, on Flickr

I have probably been told about this selling grocery feature before, but I had to refind it now. I just drag them down to the $ sign one by one, I couldn't find any faster way to do it.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

I started by putting them in pots, but they costs money, then I just planted them on the ground.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Kayla don't have a job anymore. I had so much she could do at home in the other house, combined with the difficulty of the chef career for her. Now she's the prime gardener.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Kayla had all this rewards she couldn't use. I made her buy one to make her younger. She was then half way through or perhaps even closer to death. She just got back to the start of her present age, that's the old age.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

When Lisa dies and later Lavrans, Reese is old, but he can still have babies with Hanna, so they get a girl again. I called her Henriette after the ... I started with Henriette and Henning, then Lisa and Lavrans, then Hanna, Leanna, Tina and Nola, after that is Henriette jr and Henning jr.

That makes this little girl Henriette jr and Henning jr coming a bit later, the great grand children of Henriette and Henning senior? 4'th generation.

skipstad Legacy, The Rosebud Challenge by Volvenom, on Flickr

Considering both Kayla and Reese will die soon I have to fill up those spaces, and that has to be one of the younger sisters. I selected Nola. Here she has found this guy with a really glossy suit. He turned out to be outgoing, gloomy and .... evil, Mad nope, Kayla told him to leave. There is just too much work with these evil sims.

My focus in the early days of this legacy was astronaut and those careers, I'm now focusing on writing, painting and programming. They gain much more also at home. Astronaut doesn't really earn anything outside the career itself. Nola wants to be a painter and can paint all day long if she likes. The same with writing really, lots of royalties coming in from each book, and they didn't really take that long to write anyway. It may have been the astronaut career taking up too much time.

Now on to the Achivement so far: 279.075,-

Achievement5 by Volvenom, on Flickr

Kayla is now younger than Reese, because of the potion she drank. They will die soon, leaving two more spots for the younger generation.
Reese might level from Advice Columnist in 20 hours unless he dies first.
Kayla still has some time left to focus on the garden.

Hanna is married to Reese, she was Lisa's daughter wasn't she? I need a list I can copy to the next generation Laughing She's now an adult and has two little kids, considering Reese is about to die, she won't have any more.

Leanna and Tina the twins is busy earning money on writing and programming,
Nola earns money as a painter and tries to find a husband.

Henriette jr and Henning jr goes to grade school. Henriette has leveled to B.

Geneology:
1 generation:
1. Henriette and Henning

2 generation:
1: Lavrans, partner Kayla
1.1: Leanna
1.2: Tina
1.3: Nola

2: Lisa, partner Chi
2.1: Hanna

3 generation:
2.1: Hanna marries Reese
2.1.1: Henriette jr
2.1.2: Henning jr

4 generation
Hanna and possibly Nola's kids when they grow up.
