Growin' On Up!

Both Serena and Solomon managed to graduate from high school at the top of their class! I've read many people's frustrations with the kids and their achievements but they did both get out of school with "A"s.

Probably all the studying they did!

Scott, Summer, Solomon, and Serena spend a ton of time together as a family. They are all each other's besties, and get along beautifully. I love the "Call to Meal" interaction.

Before you knew it, Solomon aged up to Young Adult. He is Outgoing, Athletic, and Self-Assured. He plans to become an astronaught. He reminds me of Chad Moore from my Sims3 legacy family!

So gorgeous! He'll be a wonderful Gen1 dad.

Serena looks beautiful, too. She is Bookworm, Genius, and Creative. She's become a writer. I do not know if I'll leave her in the household or move her to her own place. Depends on if she can get a husband or so. Leaving her in would contribute to the Simoleans though.

Summer is level 8 in her career and has some friends to make. Scott is about level 4, but he started very late. His paintings are relgulary Excellent or Masterpieces and bring in a lot of money. Summer's songs she's licensed also bring in more money.

With some of this largesse, they expanded and upgraded the kitchen.

The property is now worth 44,112. I have a way to go but my goals are a bit different. I want a true legacy family. One of my own rules is no moving in Sims unless they are adopted children or romantic partners.

Here's a house update. Added a courtyard over to the side and that's Scott working on his easel. He loves the outdoors so that's where he paints.

Summer went to work out. She tends to widen over time even though I don't see her eat very much. The curse of getting older...

Family outing while Scott was at work. Time to make more friends. Solomon asked every single person if she was single. They all were, so he has is pick!

When they all got home, Scott was tired from work, and Solomon was tired from socializing, so a nap was in order...

Summer aged up in the middle of the night. She was sad because no-one remembered her birthday... She has two levels to go to max her career...

At least there seems to be a variety of Singles to choose.
Wink
The whole birthday thing is so sad it is pitiful. I hate that they are sad for so long.

Girlfriend!

Star came over to visit Solomon one morning. He met her at the picnic and talked a good long while.

Solomon talked and flirted and then jumped on the opportunity to have a date with her.

It went very well. Gold Medal well, in fact, and they raised both their friendship and romantic relationship bars.

They took the opportunity to commemorate the date with a photo.

When Solomon returned home, Scott had aged up and was sad that everyone forgot (ARGH! I need a reminder ON THE DAY they age!)

He consoled himself with a guitar lesson. He's still hot for an old guy.

Founding Generation - Rayne Dynasty!

I am going to make these types of pictures each generation. It makes it easier to keep track of everything. I managed to get a portrait of each of them before aging to Elder. I'll take everyone's portrait at Adult stage.

Good update. So is there no notice to tell you when it's going to be their birthday?

There is a pop-up telling you their birthday will be soon. But you still need to keep checking to avoid missing the occasion.
Parties are not required as long as you at least have a cake with candles to blow out/make a wish to grow up.

You get a warning 2 days ahead of time but not on the day itself. I often, as you saw, forget.

Proposal!

Star came over to visit and Solomon talked and flirted. Star flirted back. Solomon asked her to go outside with her and...

Proposed! She said yes!

They were both really excited about this!

After a passionate kiss, Solomon also asked her to move in.

Meanwhile Serena is making friends with a new townie, Forest Evans. He's a geek, too, so they should get along well.

The house now has a second floor. There are three rooms upstairs but only 1 furnished so far. Now that Star has moved in, I can continue to furnish it.

Also there is a new nightclub in town. Not tested or named yet, but it's finished being built. Any suggestions on a name?
