I've been playing The Sims Medieval for a while now and thought I would share some random captures.

I have the base game and the Pirates & Nobles expansion.

PostSubject: Re: A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval   A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval EmptyTue Apr 29, 2014 8:45 pm

It had been so long that I had forgotten how to play so I started a new save in the Ambition: No Quest For The Weary with the goal of completing as many Quest as efficiently as possible.
This is the Kingdom of Stronghold.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree360
This is my Monarch. Let's seeeeeeee....I've waited so long to post, I have forgotten her name. Let's refer to her as Mallory.

She did as all new Monarchs do:

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree361
Fought the ruffian from the forest.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree362
Wrote a few laws and whatnot.

She opened court and then it was time to move on to my next hero of  choice:

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree363
My Wizard: Again, can't remember....I use the random name generator in the game so....yhea, will call him The Wizard.
Edit: His title: Magnus Sebastian

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree364
In this game you choose two traits and one fatal flaw. Not sure of his now but he had the "meanie" fatal flaw. I believe it was cruel.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree365
Oops.....he was sent to the stocks. Funny....such a nice guy and all....

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree368
Time for some roasted bear....or was it boar?? Anyway, he completed his quest and was able to pick a Legendary Trait. It replaced his fatal flaw. He now is Satiated instead.

Verily, it is so.....RL hath turned it's vile head.

Fare the well, my Goodmen and Goodwomen.

PostSubject: Re: A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval   A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval EmptyWed Apr 30, 2014 10:45 am

Apparently I only took a few pictures of this Ambition.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree369
My next hero chosen was my Spy: Spy Aldous Actually, I think I had to pick my Knight before I was able to pick the Spy....
Alas, only one picture. He did very well on his quest....what ever it was.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree370
Okay, I lied...two pics of him along with my Knight: Captain Anissa (standing)

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree371
I must have switched back to my Wizard: Magnus Sebastian. I picked the Wedding quest. Let me tell you, it was very difficult to get them married. The kingdom doesn't have a church yet and apparently, the sims have to be in just the right spot for the priest/preacher to come down from the "Heavens" to marry them.  It took several attempts!

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree372
Next Hero: My Physician: Master Chirugeon Wren (her title at the end of the ambition) Look, Magnus Sebastian must have needed to be medicated.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree373

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree374
She performed her duties to the kingdom and kept herself "focused".

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree375
The Queen requested her presence. How exciting! Ummmmmmm....she demanded 100 Simoles (The coin of the Realm), then 1,000 then 100,000 in treasure. If Wren did not pay up she would be sent to her death. Her plan was to question one of the peasants who had some info. Oh no! Something is up!

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree376
Wren fatal flaw is Licentious. She had romanced her assistant and became pregant (one Woohoo). She is sure the Queen in an impostor and is quickly trying to make a truth serum to inject into the "Queen" before time runs out. Success, the serum is ready and so is Wren, she gave birth to a baby girl. A warrant had been issued for her demise. TO THE PIT!

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree377
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhh........

I will see you Anon. My RL "duties" must be fulfilled.

Wren did survive the Pit Beast.....luckily! She was able to inject the serum......

Okay, so maybe it was a little strong....the Impostor died!! Wren saved the kingdom!!

I remember that I absolutely loved the music and that is by far the best Grim I think. I just wish you/we did not have to start over each time. Yikes, I just looked and I have not played since July 2011 and cannot find any pics. So that is before I got this computer even.

I love the music and the speech in this game! The Grim is awesome. I had  the option to continue to play after the an Ambition was complete. I am not sure if that was how it was in the beginning of the game or if they added the option with a patch.  (There is an Ambition: The Eternal Kingdom: which has no ending.) Honestly, I was ready to move on and try another Ambition by the time I had finished.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree381
I added the Peteran Monastery. Wren and her assistant tried to wed and tried and tried and, well you get the idea. The Priest could not get to the pulpit because the crowd of worshipers blocked her. Finally, the Priest from "above" descended and they were married! Wren's husband was stuck in front of the pulpit. There is no resetsim in this game. It is suggested to "invite over" to your residence if a sim gets stuck but it did not help.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree382
Here is my Merchant: Trader Eustace getting married to his wife. They were able to marry inside the first floor of the market. I was afraid to try the Monastery again. I really enjoy playing the Merchant. He reached Level 7 before I finished the Ambition.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree383
A close up of Sebastian. He is a level 8 Wizard.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree384
My Jacoban Priest: Let's call him "Din"....He and Sebastian were trying to see why the Pit Beast was feeling ill. Apparently, he had been digesting a lot of Pirates and coughing up a lot of metal.....the Executioner was concerned. It was Din's job to dig in two areas for clues.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree385
Din had the Entitled trait and he kept getting the "disgusted by surroundings" negative buff along with "smell's like Pit Beast"  negative buff. He was always tired and hungry. Took him forever to dig around and "OOPs", he was snagged up by the beast and .....

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree386
Din became Dinner for the beast! Quest Failed.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree387
I had to pick a new Priest. Shepard Morgan is now a level four priest. Needless to say, he stays away from the Judgement Zone.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree388
Sebastian and his wife had a daughter: Mystic. She is very handy as she can be sent to the town village market. Your sim does have to take the time to walk to where ever the child sim is and tell them to go so sometimes it is quicker just to send your hero but can be helpful. I usually send the child and have it buy the things I need for both heros (if playing two) and then your able to just drag the items to the parents inventory and then to the other hero's, if needed.  The child will age up and take the place of the Hero if he/she dies.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Scree389
I love the music boxes. They give a nice positive buff.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Unlock10
Cool!

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Smbeat10
I was able to purchase all my Heros and all the additional buildings in the kingdom.

A Goodly Length in Times Past: Glimpses from Sims Medieval Brave_10
Here is the option to continue with the kingdom.

Thank you, I love my shiny medallion!

Questions: Do we spend the RP on anything other than the building/heroes? I've bought all the buildings/heroes in this particular save. I see the kingdom has Renown of 750, I have no idea if that is good or not. Is there a way to see which quests we've completed in a particular save? I didn't write anything down as I went along.

Have you invested in surrounding territories? That will open new quests within that Ambition.
Pay attention to the goal of the Ambition to decide which territory will help meet your goal.

Here is my Knight: Sir Ezekiel in action. He has the nice set of armor on. I forget the quest but he succeeded. I think it was Family Crest.

Lady Marie held a summit for peace  between Tredony and the Pirates. She was given gifts and the pirates gave her this lovely interrogation chair. Her choice, for demonstration purposes, was to tickle her subject silly. She also showed her a super scary box. Much fun was had by the Queen!

My Merchant: Shopkeeper Sindiona completed the quest The Legend of the Talking Frog. She chose "Frog legs are tasty". In the end she cooked the magical talking frog legs for her Queen. She got this lovely hat....she must wonder if it makes her look fat!

Taken from The Sims Medieval Wiki wrote:
Your kingdom’s allegiance in the war changes depending on the choices you make in war-related quests. Although your choices affect your kingdom's alliegiance, you do not choose to whom you wish to side, these decisions are made bit-by-bit by certain quest paths.
