So we all new it would show up some day! And it did!  The creepy, Ice Cream Truck!  I can just imagine those Ice Cream Selling Zombies attempting to lure in those unsuspecting sims!

Psst! EQ, Quadra is perfect! No routing errors beyond the normal due to the fence and the sims wanting to leave. Thanks again for the link! It's almost like they've been there from the start!  silent

Thanks! I hope I can keep it interesting! I really like the fact that after the challenge building up the world will be fun. There are a ton of empty lots and I should be able to fit everything in!

Dear Diary,
Apple is a wonderful baby, she only fusses when she is hungry or needs to be changed.  She is such a joy!  Marcus is so helpful with her too!

As much as we wanted to spend all our time with Apple, we need to prepare for harvest.  Fall has just set in, but Winter is not far away.  We really need to get that food into storage.  Thus we picked in the rain!  It definitely had a bit of a chill to the air.  The leaves are falling more and more!

No comments on gardening in our PJs!

Dear Diary,
My seeds took!  They are so healthy and really scary - they don't care what is lurking, they will eat them!  I'm ALMOST glad it's not safe to leave the compound.  They are amazing and I hope a way to keep my family safe from the lurking Zombies!   I saw first hand today what happens when the Zombie got lured in!  ALMoST makes me want to have cake too..... Almost!

I hoping next time the plant doesn't spit it back out!  It won't be any help to me if it doesn't like the taste of Zombie  hmm

Cake - huh! who would have know!

I've been inspired to do this as well - I shan't post my pictures here as I don't want to crash on your story, but I've changed a few of the rules. Some make it harder, some make it easier - I just wanted to make it more realistic. It's a very fun challenge though! And quite hard if you stick to the rules set. (Some of mine make it even harder, like you have to roll above certain numbers for mother and/or baby to survive childbirth, for example!)
I'm up to 3rd generation now, but I may well do another and post a thread once I'm done. You're right about the routing issues in Roseward, which is a real shame as I've been enjoying clearing up commercial lots gradually as well as their home. Keep at it - we shall combat these zombies together! :D

So glad you are enjoying my Challenge attempt and please feel free to post pictures, I certainly don't mind!  It would be fun to read your story too...

I'm glad that you had problems with Roseward too and it wasn't just me!  It was a really pretty world, I really loved it!

I love that cow plant too - It's so much fun! I'm really loving Quadra too. Its pretty and has a lot of empty lots so the deserted feel is there and I will be able to build it up with my Survivor Ancestors. Nice!!

Hope to play tomorrow and will post an update!

Dear Diary,

So today I decided to carve a pumpkin for something cheerful to put on the porch.  We are getting close to the end of harvest & we can afford to waste one pumpkin - right?

Well, I definitely paid for waiting to get outside to tend to the garden as it started to rain.  Uggh!  I'm sure I will be missing the rain when its snowing!  So I gardened in the rain while Marcus fished.  We will be very grateful for that fish come this winter.

We had the same visitor today and the horrid, can I even call them plants!?, were very excited!  Seriously, how did he grow those!!!  Not that I'm not grateful or anything!  It has been keeping the Zombies away.  Though that truck showed up again!  Can you say SCARY!!!

Marcus and I wrapped up the day with a nice game of domino's after putting Apple to bed.   hmm , I wonder what's on his mind?  Apple's birthday is approaching tomorrow and she will be a toddler.  Maybe it's time to have another baby ?

Dear Diary,
Well, my baby's growing up!  It happened so fast, I didn't get very good pictures.  She is just beautiful isn't she??!!

I spent the day teaching Apple how to walk.  I want her to be smart and pick good traits!  Traits she will need in order to survive.

Time for bed pretty girl!!

Hello Apple Smile  ... such a pretty young lady.
I had to do a double take on the game board.  It reminded me of a Scrabble board.

I might have to move to Quadra myself - I do love Roseward, but yes, the routing issues are frustrating! I love the crib - where did you get it from? I've tried to install the medieval cribs, but I don't seem to have managed it yet! Your toddler is gawjus as well, she's going to be a right cracker when she ages up! Smile

I'm glad that its wasn't just me with Roseward, lovely world but was driving me nuts!!!  The crib is the D&M_Medieval_Baby_Crib.rar over at Mod the Sims.  It's part of the MerryMaker's  Medieval Kids Furniture Part 2 - Ye Olde Kingdom of Pudding.  You can download just the Baby Crib or all of them if you wish.  The crib is great, but it's a bit small for a toddler.  I may have to switch it out.

PostSubject: Week 2: Weekend   Thu Apr 24, 2014 10:14 pm

Dear Diary,
Well its the weekend and we decided to take it easy.  Marcus has come down with a cold and I really want to keep Apple quiet and well rested so she won't catch whatever it is he has.  Poor Man, spent the day on the couch!

So I decided to start teaching Apple to talk.  I told her about a lot of important things; like how it use to be.  Such as, how we used to use computers for everything!  Also how much I love to bake.  I had even dreamed of owning my own bakery.  I didn't realize how much l miss baked goods! It made me sad.  I told her that she must keep her teeth clean so she will be healthy.  Most importantly I told her how much Marcus and I love her.

After that, I let her play with the doll that Marcus found in the attic.  It makes her really happy, I wonder what she will name it?  I'm just glad she has something to play with.  We will have to figure out how to make some toys for her soon...

By the end of Sunday, Marcus was feeling much better and we spent a lovely evening reading together on the couch.  It was a good weekend.

Did I mention its getting very cold and I expect it to snow any day?

Dear Diary,
Well, I think I caught what Marcus had.  I feel awful!  I woke up in the middle of the night and had to run to the outhouse!  Talk about terrible!

Funny I don't remember Marcus having any stomach issues?  You don't think??!!

Well, I'll be! Wait till I tell Marcus!

Dear Diary,
I'm a little worried.  This pregnancy is so different from the first.  I'm really sick - like all the time.  I'm trying not to make a big deal about it because it makes Marcus very anxious.  He worries so much about my health and the baby's.  It seems like I spend all my time running outside!

Apple has been a real trooper though all of it!  She just sits and waits and plays with that doll.  She started talking on her own today and we had a lovely conversation.  She is so bright!  We talked about how there use to be hosipitals that Mommies could go to when they have their babies.  I reassured her that our baby would be fine being born at home.  I hope I'm right! She told me that she wants to fish with Daddy when she gets bigger.  I told her that we are hopeful that a cure would be found in the future so we could leave our house.  Just like we use to.  Oh, she told me she named her doll James.  Hummm... I wonder how she came up with that name?

Did I mention that it started to snow?  No?  Well it did - just as Marcus was finishing up dinner!  Ready or Not - here it is!

Dear Diary,

Well, we are stuck inside for a while!  It's snowing real hard out there.  The ground is covered and if it keeps up the pond will be frozen over in a few days.  So I've been potty training Apple and that's going pretty well.

We have been keeping busy with our reading.  I've finally been able to complete that pregnancy book that I wanted to for ages.  Marcus already read it and has been reading a book on fixing things.  I've been very hesitate to light the fireplace as I'm deathly afraid of fires.  We will have to eventually.  He wants to check out the chimney and fix any issues that may cause it to be unsafe.  I've also been practicing my sketching.  I want to draw some pictures to hang on the kids' bedroom walls.  They are so bare!  I will have to keep practicing though - I'm pretty bad at it!

No laughing!!!
