Samantha (Sam) arrived a early morning in the fall, so she was cold and hungry (Remodel of Mrytle Bungalow)

First things first EAT!  At least the utilities had been turned on

After eating she took a quick look around the place .... doesn't like the chairs

Ahh her first newspaper in her new home...   little girl( she want's to be rich LOL)

Sam got right to the task at hand, improving her skills

So excited about her new found skills she rushed to tell the first person she saw.  Little did she know that this person was not very nice, and proceeded to insult her for no reason.

Sam was no pushover, and gave her one right back . .

This woman upset her so bad, before she realized it she had slapped her!  ( I had never seen this before ROFL)

On the way home, she stopped at the ice cream truck, hoping a treat would calm her down.  Unfortunately she hates being outside so the moment didn't last.

Note:  Sam gets a -moodlet every time she goes outside, even if it's just to check the mail/recycle newspaper.
It was a grueling first day in the neighborhood and time for some much needed rest. In the recesses of her mind, she wondering how's she's going to get this garden started, even though she hates the outdoors.

Poor girl! She is gonna be miserable.  Maybe get her the dirt defiant,so she won't care if she's stinky. Wink

What a nice reward. There are two reasons I say this. First, your Sim will save loads of time every week from not needing to shower as often, and requiring shorter showers when they do. Secondly, since the hygiene bar falls slower, your Sim can enjoy the squeaky clean moodlet for a longer period of time! 48 hours if they didn't exercise or garden and get all sweaty!

Thank you ladies, that's a good idea BG.  Made a not for when she has enough points.

I don't know what it is with my sims or the houses I pick that attracts aliens, but it's only the third day and already they're paying me a visit and analyzing things around my house.

Apparently they are not fond of cold either (Crypta Uzopoc)

Just thought this was funny horses hanging out at the bookstore . .  seeking knowledge maybe  Laughing It's unanimous they don't like the woman, but it seems to be a kodak moment for her.  lolgal

Well back to the neighborhood to earn enough points for "Dirt Defiant"

UPDATE:

Sam braved a winter storm to go register as a self-employed gardener

Made a snow angel, Can't believe it!  For someone who hates the outdoors she really likes the snow, made a igloo as well

She managed to get her first harvest in before they went dormant and headed straight to the store to make her first sale

Hmm. . .Why is everyone watching her?

Sam made some new friends, had a snowball fight, and help build a snowman

She decided it was time to upgrade some household items

Of course all that time out in the snow was not good, now she's sick! Might as well catch up on some skill improving while she re-cooperating for two days. . . Bummer, but that means no going outside! Yippee

Whew.....made that harvest just in time. Do you have the greenhouse from the EA Store? The it windows and such aren't very expensive for your sim. She might be able to get some things started before spring that way.

I was thinking of the Stones Throw Greenhouse too. Rather than individual gardens, anymore I put my customized Stones Throw lot down and have my Sims go there for the Sunshine bits and produce.
Good story.

My thoughts exactly, Sam got a $1500 bonus with her promotion selling her second batch of produce.  Think I'll build that greenhouse now, otherwise it takes to long waiting for the plants to come out of dormant stage..

OMG,  I Got It  I completely forgot about the sunshine bits, may try those first, I do have the Stones throw set.  Thanks for the suggestion.  thumbs up

Well one more day of sickness, she hates it

Not sure what this is, but it looks like she made a choice

Finally out of bed and back to work.  The garden is coming along nicely

Sam saw a horse while gardening, which she seemed to like

and a deer when she visited the community garden.  So far she's only planted seeds she's found in the world, which doesn't happen to be a wide variety, mostly mushrooms, and other SP plants.

This is why I put a fence around my property!

Sam went to her first party, doesn't she look pretty?

You can't really see it that well in the pic, but she's teasing the cat with a lazer light.

First dance

Oh look, she ran into Seeda at the market, she likes her . . .

But this is what she's really thinking

They talked for a long time.  Barrington Diamond (expensive name) hopes to catch a unicorn.

Sam did try sunlit flowers, however they still went dormant at winter time.  Guess greenhouse is next.

Sam secretly practices ballet in the privacy of her own home.

Oops I thought she liked horses!

Sam finally got that greenhouse finished.

Hmm . . this might be why Seeda smells like burnt leaves.   Laughing

UPDATE:

Sam seems to be coming a little better to terms with being outside.  She even went for a jog and ended up at a tavern where she had hot wings and a drink.

The drink was a plus!

Not sure, but i think she wants to try a little fishing

She's crying over her barren plants she had to get rid of.  The good news is that she now has 3 perfect plant.

It's freezing out here, where's your coat?

Apparently she's hungry as well

I think she took it a little to far eating that ghost pepper, trying to warm up to fast! lolgal   lolguy

Laughing  Love the smoke out of the ears thing.

Hint: Don't get rid of the dead perfect plants. They still count toward her wish. You can move them in buy mode to a back corner of the lot.  If a new perfect plant of the same type matures to harvest, then you can get rid of the dead one. If you clear the dead one, before it is replaced, her perfect plant count will go down.

Thank you Ladies,

Thanks for the info MW, I'll have to remember that. Thank goodness it wasn't a perfect one. Was just thinking, I've never used the compost thingy on this contraption, what does it do, just curious?

If you also have the Sunflower, it spawns sunlight. You can place 3 sunlight into the SwiftGro Gardening Station's composter and fertilize all of the plant under it at once. The name pretty much says it all.

When using the composter with the sunlights, all of the plants will immediately advance 1 growing stage. Eg: if just planted they will become sprouts, if just harvested they will become harvestable again. This also means that turnover is faster and they will die faster.

UPDATE

Sam has move as well, but still in the same town

New digs, again I attached the greenhouse to the side of the barn,  needs some landscaping though . . .

Things were going great, she's at level 7 in the gardener career and 10 at gardening.  Finally she achieved her LTW

I guess she was really pleased with herself because she went to the Spring Festival on her own.  The temp is 37 degrees and this is the first person she sees . .  ROFL

Sam made some new friends and her way to several of the festival activities

Then the unthinkable happened!!    The dredded message Sims 3 has stop working  eeek   Of course I hadn't saved, but I'm hoping she won't have to do to much over.
