When I opened the game up Hottoddy was still with Rhessi (I could have sworn I'd moved on but maybe the game had crashed, which it seems to do a lot at the moment) Anyway, she felt a bit mean giving her a morsal of food so she taught her to sing "Where's my Mummy!"

Rhessi seemed to like the song and even sang it to the firdge!

Time is ticking by and Hottoddy kept looking at her wrinkles in the mirror. So decided it was time to look for a man, after all the spring festival was just around the corner what better time? So she decided to tidy up the house a bit and splashed out on a repair man to sort the tv and sink. Well did that turn out the be a good S50 spent or what. Sparks flew the second he walked through the door and she had no plans of letting him leave! Devil

Head Desk (thought I'd taken more photos than that) They were married simply in the house, she didn't even give him time to change (and it happend so fast, I can't even remember his name Laughing )

Anyway, she has sold the laptop that he bought with him, and was then given a days pay and, hey presto, she has just gone over the S50,000 to be swimming in cash!

However, my game hasn't given her the lifetime wish! It seems to keep changing the target!

Anybody any ideas why? I'm going to use family funds to put them over the 76,000 so she gets her LTW then return the amount to what it is now. This game has so many little glitches. Hubby doesn't understand why I keep playing it, but I love it anyway Laughing

Hmmmmm....could it be that she has to earn them herself? Did you sell the laptop from his inventory or hers?

Bet that handyman didn't expect to get a married out of the repair job! Can't wait to see what his traits are.....and his name! Laughing

I did sell it from his inventory, but it only added 1,400 and the target is now 76,000!

That is weird. Maybe because she married then it makes the amount go up. I am not sure....I have one of my sims in an older save to swimming in cash....Hmmmmmm....she married but I am not sure if it changed for her also. Next time I have a minute I will check that save and see.

Looked at Carl's Guide
http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/lifetimewishes/
Goal is 50,000 Simoleons so not sure why it did not hit.
Do you clear your cache files? Try to clear all cache files including the ones for the town (if any). At least you got the announcement so you know you met the goal. A resetSim may also work.

Clear Cache files? sounds like a good idea but I need to ask two dumb questions. Where are they? and how? confused

Don't want to go around completely distroying my game Laughing

Ok, done. We'll see if it makes any difference.

I had 72 files in the world cache folder Whistle

Guess that could cause your game to be just a little confused.

Ok, progress is slow on this as my game keeps either crashing or getting error code 12 when it saves so have to keep re-playing days. But here is where things are.

Rhessis threw a swimwear party which both Hottoddy and Humberto (yes that's his name!) went to. Hottoddy didn't think this was proper so remained in her formal wear!

Humberto went to join the science career, there was a strange "vehicle" parked at the lot, but nobody would tell him anything.

Humberto persuaded Hottoddy to spend some of her money and they built an extension to accomadate a new kitchen and a bedroom for the upcomming arrival!

Hottoddy was glad that despite her growing size her formal wear still fitted.

PANIC!!!! afraid 2 MeMeMe

Baby Sophia was safely born, and all too soon it was time for her to turn toddler ('cause I shortened baby stage as much as I can Whistle ) Hottoddy and Humberto threw a birthday party and everybody attended. Clover spent the evening with Humberto's work colleague Liam,

And Raine hit on Humberto

But I think the fleas put him off!!!!

Nobody seemed very interested in the actual ageing up, just a family affair

And then the game crashed agian (actually froze the whole computer this time) so pics of toddler Sophia to come!

Fleas...? Where in the world have I ... has Raine been to get fleas?
HappyTrio

I am going to suggest a tool that MIGHT help you saves.
Along with routinely clearing Cache files I have been using the Save Cleaner by Kuree. Always make a copy of your saves before using any new Mod or Tool.
Kuree wrote:
How to use it: Choose your save file (it will be in My Documents\ Electronic Arts\The Sims3 (or other similar folder)\Saves->Click "Start Clean"->Be sure you have your save back up and then click yes->Done!
How it works: It will delete all the SNAP TS3 created for each sim in the game. However, the game itself will not delete these images even though they are no longer in use and that's part of reason why the save is so big. Don't be panic! When you play the game, TS3 will re-generate all the necessary SNAP.

EQ- Thanks for that info, I shall give it a go.

Raine is running the local pet adoption centre so I guess that would explain the fleas!

Oh my, what a great update! The proper trait is a whoot. Poor Raine and her continual fleas....maybe the next time she visits you can talk her into a shower??

So sorry your game keeps crashing. I hope the Save Cleaner program works for you. Thanks for the link EQ.

Great update!

I have seen that UFO parked in Appaloosa too; but no alien was seen. I wonder if a kleptomanic sim could steal it.

LOL It cracks me up how she's always in formals. Laughing
She was in formals my game too and I didn't realize she had the proper trait. That explains it now. There are a few around town who are walking around in formals. I didn't realize they probably have the proper trait as well.
Sorry to hear your having such troubles with your game. Sad

I seem to have got this save working again (at least for the moment!)

This week's throw of the dice came up with Gram and Showtime. But first the town got two new residents.

With a bit of help from Hottoddy and her friends, Lionpaws took over this little residence at 4 Beryl Court

Hottoddy's influence obviously impressed her as Lionpaws spun the wish to join the Criminal Career. Hottoddy pulled a few strings and hey presto! another criminal.

Friday moved into 9 Meadow Beach Drive and joined the science career.

And look who her boss is!

There is definately something fishy going on at this science lab. Look what was parked outside again. Nobody would tell Friday anything either! Although she suspects the man in the yellow jumper might not be as inocent as he makes out.

While the new neighbours were busy moving in Hottoddy took in a film and I don't think she liked it!

Hottoddy started improving her relationship with Gram with a phone call.

Then they met up at the coffehouse to take in a simfest.

It didn't go very well....

But maybe that was the plan, revenge for this...

And it seems she not alone with these thoughts

And she's his boss, isn't that sexual harrasement?!

Hands off ladies, Hottoddy didn't marry him for nothing

Or you'll get the scary face!

Anyway, look who came to visit

A quick game of catch in the light of a full moon

And Hottoddy had to go to work so left her guests to have fun on the ice rink (a wedding present!)

The same night Sophia turned from toddler to child

Some SERIOUS clothes shopping required!

Oh no, not again!

Awesome update. That criminal career is difficult. What is her logic skill like? I've heard if you have a high logic skill you don't get arrested.

Uh oh arrested. No That never happened to me..Do they let you go right away?

I did know a kid named Umberto..never Humberto though. Maybe it's just a different way of spelling it. Your Sim better keep an eye on him! Suspect

OH and what is it with my Sim and that outfit! LOL. I didn't pick it..I think it's her work outfit..but it seems she prefers to where that. tongue

Fun story! I'm curious to see what happens with getting arrested.
