Another question: Use of the Wishing Well, any guidelines?

As they say in the movies 'Pucker up Buttercup' (Ferris Bueller's Day Off). Now wipe away those pretty tears.

Me Loves The Bladder of Steel Me does.
Perhaps there should be a goal to meet to get that one but I am trying to keep it real .. in a Sims sort of way. [Must confess I have whole families inherit Steel Bladder Whistle ]
And yes .. I personally have pretty good bathroom radar. 3NoEvil
Setting Goals and Limitations is what make it a challenge.
Inheritance can happen but not until much further along and limited use.
Wishing Well - Anything EXCEPT Wealth.
Gambling - **Suggestions?**

Barbie stamps her foot....sorry, she is Diva you know.

I think if your dumb enough to gamble you should be able to but maybe wait until the goal of being able to get a job is achieved?

The Sim must have an established home and be gainfully employed. 'Gainfully employed' = working at a rabbithole or a self employed career or other type of job on a regular basis.

Just a word on marrying a wealthy Sim, from playing the Rest Home challenge I learnt that you may not always get a large cut of the house funds but you can end up with 80 000 S cars in their backpack and such, just something to consider Smile

Gambling:

As long as your Sim wears decent clothes and has taken a bath, I don't see much restriction.
Those suckers at the casino take it form anyone Devil

One could argue that you'd need an established home first, but I dont' think that has to be.
Think of all the time you spent gambling. It's not as profitanle as rumaging trashcans (of wealthy people of course) or stealing cars, public statues and stuff.

This has been fun so far Smile For the 5000s I did cash on hand. I had the total on Week 2 day 4.

I probably should have asked this before now but are there any restrictions on completing opportunities?

Awesome!

Treat them as odd jobs. You are free to complete any opportunity that comes your way. Ones involving travel must wait until your Sim has a real house and job.
Any restriction you wish to place on yourself are also fine. Just have fun.

Are you going to join in? I hope you do. I found it a lot of fun when Cyron first posted it.

I might next month I am helping test a world right now and like to keep only one or two things on my plate. IF I am going to try this and doing my first story tell project I want to be free just for it shy

I've played this challenge, more or less, off and on, since I discovered it sometime back. I don't have Supernatural but I do have Seasons. I have a couple of suggestions, and one caveat.

Suggestion: Do not allow the Complimentary Entertainment Reward or the Discount Diner reward until the Sim has an established home.
Suggestion: Do allow the Competitive Eater reward so that the Sim can compete in eating contests without throwefring up, as the food goes bad if they don't have a refrigerator on the lot.

Caveat: I've been using Buzzler's Moar Interactions mod. This mod allows me to let my Sim work 3 hours at any rabbithole for 30$ an hour. Cyron had no problem with me using it, *as long as I restricted the jobs to one day a week and *only* one job per week* and never on Sundays. I'm keeping the mod, and thinking of letting my Sim work one of those jobs on Leisure day. The only other mod I use is Twallan's Overwatch.

Also, if you have Seasons, you can only harvest in sprng, summer, and maybe early autumn, but not during the winter. (I've been trying to play this but really have problems completing it!)

If you get the I think you indoor planters you can, or a green house. I just got it so have not played in it winter yet on my test sims.

Agreed. I rarely use these so did not think to mention them.

Have not experimented with this reward. Thanks for the tip.

I did see this mentioned in the original thread. Great idea.

It does take some creative thinking because of the restrictions. I do not think I ever got to the final goal the first time through.

The actual green house has some areas where the plants go dormant. I do like the Garden Station that came with it. I have used it in a basement with great success. There is an area around the station that spawns seeds so allow plenty of space around it.

Interesting. I didn't know about the seed spawning.
Hadn't had time to play the station yet.
Do you know how to work the composter?

Choose the Open option from the menu. Then drag items like fish or plants of good or better fertilizer quality into the composter. Only need 3 items. Then choose the option to use the composter. It will fertilize all plants in range. You can also use the Sunshine items dropped by the dancing sunflower.

With the Gardening Station you can water all plants at once. Talk to all the plants at one time which improves the quality of the plants. And use the composter to fertilize all the plants at once. You can also identify unknown seeds which can be useful.

Thank you.

I had put old newspaper into the composter Rolling Eyes (that only worked in Sims2)
