 Weather Stone

Has anyone figured out how to move that ugly weather stone somewhere besides a community lot? confused I have tried everything. Really, now, who wants that big rock on the court house lot or my movie lot which is quite tiny anyway. shy It would look nice in a field or park or something, but not where it landed in both of my worlds. hmm

I would think that it would/should be on a community lot, and so far mine have landed in great places which are parks. This one landed in my fairy grove which I thought was a perfect place for it.

I would guess that it is in buydebug. If so you should be able to place where wanted. And with TCE and MOO you cannot delete it from where it is? Did you google to see if anyone else has moved one?

Each new save spawns the Weather Stone in random spots. I suppose if you open a new save and it lands where you do not like you would have to open a new save to see if it is in a better spot. Otherwise it cannot be moved in any fashion that I have discovered. Have not found it in buydebug either. That is not to say that it could not be found if you have a mod to unlock hidden objects.

I just found out what to do accidently. Mine landed at the grocery in Monte Vista. It actually looked OK there but I did not like that the grocery was in the residential area. There is a lot in a commercial area that I found that was the right size. I saved the game not knowing what would happen then moved the lot to the new location. That nuked the stone from the lot and it also was gone at the prior location.

When I went back into live mode a new one placed at the movie theatre. Did not save and went to the main menu and back. It landed a bad place again. 3rd time it landed in a small rural empty lot. So I left it there and now it has its own location.

So if you have a bad location move the lot, and then back if wanted. If there is no place to move, I would put it in the library, bulldoze the original, then place the copy and see if that movement nukes the stone. I would think it would. Save first just in case, before the lot changes.

If we play with it a bit, we can get it somewhere we like.

But won't the stone just move to another lot with the new save? I will try your method and see if I can get it in a better location. Smile

You do not save the until it has landed somewhere you want it. Then you save and it stays there.

Gram, per this thread Judy did not ever try to just delete it, and Gurra says it can be deleted. So, that seems like a way to go too. If deleted, the game must then just place it elsewhere and you can keep deleting them until you get what you want.

Yeah, I just had TCE on and ctrl-shift clicked it, object>delete, and then when I loaded the game back the next time from the main menu it placed itself somewhere randomly new.

Yeah I delete mine in edit town mode then save back to main menu reload and it replaces in another random spot even from a pre existing game. I did manage to get a copy of the stone in my buy menu but when I went to place it the placement size was bigger then the already placed stone and the graphic wasn't there. I am going to try digging some more but I believe what I copied was the placement piece probably normally used in CAW as the object is already set up for CAW. I know this doesn't really help anyone atm but I have only just started learning how to do this kind of thing lol This was the only object I could find using s3pe that resembled anything to do with the weather stone.



I did manage to unlock the ExtraordinAIRe-inator object for buy and build normally a LTR object, it is in package form but is unlocked not CC. I found it strange that the weather stone has a catalog thumbnail but there you have it I will post if I find anything else out.

I have never looked/noticed if the reward items are in buy debug or not. Like the fox from maxing the criminal career and/or LTW. I cheat a lot in may game Laughing, but decided my sims have to earn things like that.

some items aren't in the buydebug not sure y maybe EA agreed with you about Sims earning them lol I mostly want them for builds I really could have used the ExtraordinAireinator (mouthful) in my last built, I wanted it for the last temple as it is a meditation machine which is why I ended up spending the day learning how to do it Smile. The thread I used was for putting objects into CAW metadata but it's only a few more mouse clicks in s3pe away to put them in buy build. I put the cost at 5000 Simoleons I figured a 1/4 of the LTR points was fairish lol

I cheat a lot in my game too, but my Sims have to earn their money themselves. LOL.

But as to the Weather Stone, I deleted it a few times yesterday in Monte Vista. I had testingcheatsenabled on so I just shift-click-delete object.

In a few Sim hours a new one generated. I did not have to quit my game or anything.
